I absolutely love your little turtle and the way he looks, Jonni! I really like how you engineered him by making the body and shell separately. I think it adds more dimension to him. I just love your teaching video tutorials! They’re so informative!
You have gotten me into paper machet. I have watched you for YEARS. I am an illustration artist, I used to teach, and my nephew used to be one of my students. We have bonded and grown thick as thieves and we have made your paper clay together several times now. As it happens, imagine I have a knack for it! I even enjoy it more than illustration. This whole summer we are working on redoing my entire front yard. We're going to make some simple fake rock structures for the kids to climb on, along with a whole dragon and a series of creatures of my design to live in the new garden. I just wanted to thank you for everything you have provided in the RU-vid community. It has been a great piece of life in my world. I have the summer off and
I'm so glad you're having fun with this medium - and I hope you'll show us some photos your front yard when you get it done - we would all love to see how it comes out. It sounds like a fabulous plan! You can share some photos on my website here: www.ultimatepapermache.com/daily-sculptors-group-page 😊
I love your little turtle, and I'm sorry about your tortoise. You are so so sweet and amazing!!! I have 2 real turtles named Loyd and Lola. My grandson named Loyd so I named Lola. I have had them for years, and I want to make a turtle using your recipe. Thank you for all you do !!!
Remember my idea ? Crazy scary SKULL 💀? Now I have to find the time and make one ! Mine will be rock 🪨 hard solid concrete. Love the turtle 🐢 s . Another great video . Full watch Old school - do you remember when small turtles were sold to make soup ? They do make great soup. Mike Espo . Skull 💀 soon to follow . 😊👍👍👍
I just got home from the dog park. I was talking to a lady, Lisa, and she looks a lot like you and has your same kind spirit. Thanks for the video. I live in Rhinelander, WI and the town mascot is a "Hodag". It is a strange mythical creature. Years ago my friends built a cabin here and they wanted me to make a Hodag for them out of steel. It is about 7 feet long. I am thinking of making a small one out of paper mache. Maybe this winter????? It is always good to see you!!!!!
@@UltimatePaperMache Right now I am working on building up courage. It takes a long time to get over the fear of failure. Yes I can make a video but it will more than likely be a slide show. Thanks for your encouragement.
@@alanm3438 I'm currently procrastinating with my own creative project - I bought a cajon drum, and signed up for some free lessons. But I "never have time" to sit down and get started. Maybe we should both just jump in and do it. Is your new shop all set up for your metalwork?
@@UltimatePaperMache I am so sorry. I have a lot of nerve pain and it is very hard for me to get around. I want to get my shop set up but I am in pain most of the time. Thanks for asking.
Have you made a hermit crab? My 3 year old LOVES hermit crabs. She has a small colony in her room and loves to watch them. We found a small hermit crab key chain and two stuffed animals but aside from going to the aquarium you never see anything hermit crab related.
I have never made any kind of crabs, but that would be a great project. The shell would probably be the hard part. I'll put it on my list, but I don't know when I'll have time to try it. Good idea, though. 😊
That little pig is my mascot. He's one of the projects in my book, Make Animal Sculptures with Paper Mache Clay. The book is a full course on creating animal sculptures from scratch, with patterns you make yourself. You can find it here: amzn.to/1nMUO3a
