I really dont care for books to change up the main characters in the series but I really enjoyed Elm and Ione fall slowly for one another and he was intrigued by her before she had the maiden. Now that I finished this I'm also going to start AHOFAS!

I don’t really know who to ship more because obviously in ODW Ravyn & Elspeth were absolute goals 🥵 but in TTC their relationship was REALLY put on the back burner. I agree that Elm and Ione are just the cutest thing and are also goals aswell but to compare them is impossible because they got so much book time in TTC 😭 HOT TAKE: One thing about TTC that left me unsatisfied were *parts* of the epilogue. I LOVED the happy ending with everyone still being alive and everything but I don’t know it just felt too perfect? In my head I had two visions: V1: Happy reunited ending with everyone (with a negative aspect). Literally anything to make it not all perfect happy and giddy OR V2: If we’re really going down the tie a bow on all loose ends route in the epilogue maybe fast forward 1-3 years and make it so either R + E or E + I has some cute little children or BOTH I don’t know that would have been my perfect ending. That ending would already be much better compared to what we have as it would already self imply that Elm & Ione have taken the throne together and guaranteed married. ANYWYAS ENOUGH RANT Let me know what u think
