Considering 50 pennies is still open and the lowest amount in the show, would it be possible to take it off the wheel and make it instead the guaranteed final episode of the season, would make for a hype finale
@@Ragnarok540 easy 100+ for shipping. Theyre going to scrape like 3 different sellers for the same penny cards that each have 1 copy each for 4.99 shipping
The episode only goes to show that in a format without handtraps, you can spend 25 for every Master Duel player's nightmare, aside from Ultimateness and Eva.
Not exactly, yeah the cards in the deck cost $25 but there’s still like $150 in shipping at least. All those cards that are $0.01-$0.10 cost $5-$10 in shipping.
@@jk844100 You can optimize the shipping, also some of the places selling on TCG player have physical locations where you can probably buy the cards with zero shipping too.
@@TheGuyWhoIsSitting could be wrong but I highly doubt people who sell cards for cheap like that are going to want you to come pick up the cards if they're going for 1 cent
@@donjulio1033 if they have a physical store, with good sorting. Then they'd want you to come in and get all those cards because of the chance that you also buy something expensive while you're in there. "I see your building a deck do you need sleeves?" a lot of Physical Game stores still sell the cheap cards to build community and increase potential other sales.
Yup. Basically the whole reason I don't play since playing in Canada and paying for shipping from the states + the canadian dollar into USD makes stuff cost so much more. There's no good sellers up here, or rarely any.
*chains halq to change of heart to summon formula synchron* "Can I draw here?" No. Formula Synchron is a "when: you can;" effect, so it misses the activation timing.
Danny out here just showing us why Meteonis Drytron needed to specify Light Machines instead of just being the ultimate generic Ritual spell. Just, dear lord.
"I can make the funniest play of all time." Clearly this man didn't watch Rank10's War of the Worthless where a Genex player used Machine Dupe on a Genex Recycled calling Genex Blastfan, netting 2 searches and then syncing into Trish for game.
No joke back in the day that tournament made wanna play online lol rata having an aneurism and we collectively dumbfounded by such an awesome build was the best
Clearly this man didn't watch Rata's War of the Worthless where a Silver Gadget boosted by double Solidarity punched over a Crystal Wing Synchro Dragon.
Experienced the same thing with my infernoble knight deck. Took out all my handtraps, kaijus and removal spells and maxed out potential advantage and found that I was more consistently able to go for the plays I wanted to. Turns out that all that extra stuff, while making your deck more well rounded makes it actually weaker offensively.
I did not expect Drytron to clean up that easily, but dang, that do be some Drytroning! I was trying to make a dumb list for Danny with Chaos Valkyria and Manju to make Giant Hand since it was reprinted in Duels from the Deep, but this all gas variant is way better.
Great episode! Loved the edit OPTML! Zooming mainly on the players and giving them the focus over changes to the boardstate or the cards being played made for a really pleasant viewing experience! Nice work!
Content pitch: Opposite of Broke boy: Rich boy, where you're given like $15,000+ and have to build a deck within $50 of the cost. 10K Dragon Staple? Max rarity CyDra? Crystal Beasts?? Funny enough the higher you go the worst the decks may be-
How about, you are not allowed to purchase budget cards at all. You must always pick the highest available rarity, and any card that is under a certain threshold of money can not be played at all.
24:30 In this situation, since halq was Chain Link 2, Formula Synchron CAN'T activate here, since it's missing its timing (optional WHEN effect). You aren't able to draw a card in a situation like that. Halq always has to be CL1 for the Formula draw.
I love this series. It constantly reminds me of how I spend $15, $20, $25 on one card and these absolute champs build an entire deck and a side board with the same amount lol
@@angelofdarkness4806 the Ishuzu cards that come out a few months from now all have a mechanic that can shuffle your opponents graveyard back into the deck, and ishuzu tearlaments are currently the number 1 deck in the ocg, so once it becomes popular in the tcg drytrons will become borderline unplayable.
As the single fan of Drytron (I've loved it since it was revealed for the OCG, and it will continue to be my favorite deck for a long, long time), this episode was healing.
"We'll show you just how far you can stretch a dollar, but don't pay attention to how much the shipping costs that doesn't matter you're just going to go pick up all your cards"
@@gregoryford2532 it's worse now, they go into Vanity’s + counter trap now LMAO I never thought I'd say this, but I legitimately miss them playing Ultimateness v_v
All this thievery is making me want to play Drytron in Master Duel now. But every time I try to pull from the packs I get nothing but Draconids. And then proceed to get shamed by a bunch of mid rarity Ursarctics.
One of you guys should try to get REALLY high rolly and buy a pack (or simulate it with the pack opener) to get something that would normally be out of reach for your price range (or more likely get nothing of value :) ).
Loving this Series question (is there a Shot for a tournament where the competitors all have to make decks to a similar budget and Joesph and Danny Commentate it once we finish all the price ranges on the list currently? 🤔)
If you ever decide to go with another season of this, I recommend ditching the wheel at the start. Begin the series with a set amount and lower the budget each episode, until the budget for the last episode is $0.50. That would be more hype IMO.
Good lord I play adamancipater in master duel and drytron is a NIGHTMARE to go against. I also think there should be a way to search out the actual tuners instead of just stacking the deck because opening with no names is a death sentence
