Currently making a stealth set up with 3 zones. I’ll tag on Instagram when done! Have too many cymbals at this point for stands and dont want to hide the drums with a big 3 sided curve rack. So im using 4 posts to mount everything, 2 toms and about 15 cymbal combinations 😅
I wanted to say the Stealth Rack rocks, but it doesn't. It has a huge footprint, and if you need to fly a big ride way off to the side - as long as your center of gravity is within the footprint - you're rock solid. At first I felt like I wasn't making good use of the side rack vs stands - but then I realized that stands loaded as I had them would be a lot more tippy.
Nathan Stewart Do you find it’s an easily repeatable set up? I’m thinking about using it to replace my stands and want it to be quick, versatile and consistent in set up. Your opinion?
What was the measurements after the racking was placed...how much space was actually saved?I had a rack myself before and really didn't save that much space ...the only thing that was a benefit was breakdown time between band sets ..after that I went to straight up stands and clamps
Jonathan Skeels thanks for the comment. Yes a no leg hi hat stand can be used easily. All you need is a multi clamp and an SC-EA200 extension arm with grabber clamp. Please visit our website to see these parts. We also have many other videos utilizing no leg hi hat stands with the stealth rack
The stealth rack with no stands--just the 4 posts and connecting bars--fits in one Humes & Berg DR881 Enduro 29x14x8 Tilt and Pull Hardware Case and weighs about 30 lbs. I also have a Humes & Berg DR890 Enduro 36x14x8 Tilt and Pull Hardware Case I use for my SC-APMs, 6 Turning Point short brake tiler stands, two tom mounts and no-leg hi-hat stand, which weighs closer to 55 lbs. The only other hardware I need is my pedal and throne.
Brent ... Could you do a 1 up, 2 down option for a Pearl drum kit who’s 2 down are mounted 12” & 14” (Or what ever size), not floor toms with legs. ... I can’t set mine up as I have a smashed wrist, plus I don’t have enough hardware at this time, sold my old kit off a while back but bought a new Pearl Masters MCX with 10”, 12” and 14” mounted toms and a 22”x 18” bass drum and don’t have any hardware as said above.. Would appreciate it as there is only 1 Pearl video I can find but it has floor toms with legs. 👊🏻👊🏻
GibraltarDIY thanks mate, would appreciate that and hopefully see one in the future. As said I would enter the make over thing but I don’t have enough hardware to do so, plus I’m recovering from my 7th wrist op so can’t even hold a cup of tea yet. So want to know what I’ll need, especially seeing as my position 1 & 2 floor toms are mounted rather than being on floor tom legs.
