Ukrainian refugees Yana Yanovska. and her daughter, Zoriana Khivrich, live in Hiroshima.
Yana, who used to be a singer in Ukraine, lived with her daughter Zoriana in the capital, Kyiv.
Yana and her family crossed with border with just the clothes on their backs and arrived in Hiroshima two months after the invasion began.
I don't see any other way to end the war other than signing a peace treaty as soon as possible. I want peace for Ukraine. I want my mother to live a life full of happiness. I want a bright future for all the people of Ukraine.
As the war drags on, Yana's thoughts for the homeland she is still unable to return to, only grow stronger.
