it's crazy how almost 25 years ago Ty was poised to be the next big thing in country music after Garth Brooks. After his legal issue and rumors about his sexuality started to spread it seems like record label put him on ice. I remember him doing an interview and he's joking about his arrest. Looking back I feel bad for him. To have to hide who you are because of public and professional pressure. It seems like he's in a better place and has found peace and I'm happy for him....and 25 years later his music is as good as ever.
Another great song from the late 1997-early 1998 Fall/Winter period. I remember seeing this video on GAC back then, too. That was such a magical time in country music with so many great songs coming out at the same time!

I'M NORMALLY INTO HEAVY METAL BUT TY IS ONE OF THE FEW COUNTRY ARTISTS I REALLY LIKE. I SAW HIM IN CONCERT AND HE TRIED TO GET MY 6 YEAR OLD DAUGHTER TO COME ONSTAGE WITH HIM BUT SHE WAS TOO SHY.
He has real talent!. No to mention he supports Saint Judes Childrens Research Hospital. My daughter Emily had all b cell leukemia so although i loved his music in high school he won me as a loyal fan once i found that out. I encourage people to buy his albums and to support him as he has so many others.

I honestly think that's why his music is so magical. Just because of who he is and what he held inside for so long and now that he's out it's even better!
This is one of my personal favorite songs from this singer Ty Herndon. Watching this video a long time ago was the first time I've ever seen Ty on-screen. I love this song!
@ashley1994 Yes, of course I KNOW country is what he is famous for. My point IS that some of the country music today is not really COUNTRY like Ty's music.

I love love love my 90's country the music nowadays just don't compare with the country from these days and as early as the 50's country I love older country I grew up in the 90's but my grandparents raised me on the oldies too I miss this era brings back my childhood I can't grt enuff of it

Ignorance is the euphemism for hate. The softening of edges long dismissed by polite society but that somehow have found a voice again in the greatest place whose only race is to the bottom. But hate was the choice that rhey made. Never obsequiate to bigotry, prejudice, or narrow-mindedness. Its better to be better than to be anything, but as a person eho can read, and write, and deliver the emotion of a song, keep doing it. Always remember, first they came for the trade unionists. And I wasnt one so..... equality is the simplest of concepts to understand. I am a straight, married man who went to an excellent university, ibe been the beneficiary of so many kindnesses and such support. To use that in any other way than to stand up for thise who were less "priveleged" by tide and time tenor, would be to ignore the influence my story and path and education was meant to have. If you cant impart, why be a part of any of it? Point is. I think you were brave ahead of years. I understand why you walked the tight rope, but know that as a fellow writer and herder of listeners' emotions, you didnt have to. Glad to have you back.
I didnt know he was gay...I hav we listened to him for a long time...Really doesnt make a d ifference, just was shocked to learn that though..takes away some of his sexiness now!! Lol
