@@jeremymurphy6648 Actually Antonio Cromartie had three ints in a game vs Peyton Manning. One of them was even a one handed catch. That Peyton sure did like to throw ints. Ty Law is still my guy though. Happy he finally made the Hall of Fame.
Yeah people forget DB wise him and PT had about the same amount of picks and what not. You got to think what the shit BB was doing letting him and Willie walk with plenty left yeah neither won a SB, but they still did great after they left
@@sports3117 i don't consider him behind them. Just a lot of people view him that way because he is not talk about like them. By the way, a lot of people don't know Darrell Green either. To be honest i only know him from Madden lol and im old....
After the 03 AFC championship game, he said if he ever got in the HOF, he would thank Payton Manning in his acceptance speech. 15 years later I was disappointed 🤣
He has 9 interceptions off of Peyton Manning he has picked him off more then any CB 5 of those came in the playoffs. I grew up calling him Peyton's Kryptonite.
Dude was a KILLER that made the NFL change the rules ,so todays QB, WR, TE #'s are out of control. Todays offensive players owe Ty 5% of their salaries!
@@chrisuncleahmad Parcells coached NE from 93'- 96' Ty Law was in NE in 95' Pete Carroll took over in 97'-99' Belichick didn't get to NE til 2000 Ty Law had three great years under Belichick though
"Tom Brady always beat Peyton" kids who don't know the pats had some of the most talented defenses of all time especially these years the first 3 rings do you see what these guys are doing out there that ain't Brady stopping Manning.
Belli was the mind behind one of the most dangerous defenses ever, the 80s Giants. Anybody who think Brady or Manning is supposed to do well against Bill is stupid. Plus they always perform in the clutch, he’s a hell of a play caller.
Coming from a Patriots fan I don't think anyone in their right mind would think Brady did all that by himself we all know he had amazing Defenses thanks to Belichick
Always remember, Ty was a LEGAL player! They emphasized the contact rule after the game where he got 3 picks, yes, BUT the rule was made because Roman Phifer kept mauling Marcus Pollard, Law’s 3 picks were CLEAN!
Thank you Ty Law for all the great memories in NE. You embodied the makeup needed to change the teams defensive culture. I am so glad to say I've seen you play and battle on that NE defense when our teams were not that good. It's good to see a true Patriot go into the hall of greats.
Ty Law was a guy who knew how to get to the ball. One of those guys who doesn't get a lot of pub but when you look at the numbers you go "wow". I forgot he played for KC and Denver.
I mean wow. Just WOW. Ran better routes and had better hands then receivers. You thought he would bring them all back for this any time he got his hands on the ball, which was more often than offenses wanted lol. Amazing open field tackler. This is the prototype for a CB its exactly what you want in every way. He was incredible. What a player
Loving the content recently!!! Wondering if you can do more old school / underrated guys. It's so hard to find anything on them on RU-vid Elway, Steve Young, Randall Cunningham, Unitas, Otto Graham, Sayers, Dorsett, Marcus Allen, Roger Craig, Atwater, Lott, K Houston, Night Train, Mel Blount, Rod Woodson, Kellen Winslow, Deacon Jones, Munoz....
Damn 53 INT’s - 9TD’s - As a kid it felt like Manning couldn’t figure him out. True class act. My dad owns a limo company in the Boston area & drove Ty for years ( picking him up this weekend when he comes home from the HOF ) Always treated my father w/respect & dignity. Wish I could say the same for all the athletes/Celebs my dads driven over the years. Top 3 A-Holes Allen Iverson Al Sharpton Allen Thicke ( must be something in the name )
People used to call me ty law cuz I favored him in looks congratulations on the hof and Ty law should have been MVP of that Super Bowl and we need to make it known that Ty Law is a pro bowl Legend
That dude was a real game changing force in his time every time he stepped on the field in uniform no matter what team he played for. He reminded me of a human torpedo on the loose that never missed hitting the target with great hands like an elite wide receiver and solid tackling skills like that of Ronny Lotte no matter what play you called. Once the ball is snapped and you had him on your team the worst nightmarish threat became a quarterback's reality resulting in destroying everything beyond repair.
Will never forget playing Madden '05 for the first time and seeing Law as one of the starting CBs on the All-Madden team (not surprsingly Champ was the other one). Jsn put out a great video of his highlights a while back but it's great to see his best moments in high quality now too. One of the best CBs ever; glad to see him in the Hall.
You know what made Ty Law great? Most Hall of Famers have great positioning skills, speed, strength and other skills. Ty Law was great cause he could run the route of the receivers, BETTER than the receivers!
I live in N.E. and was maybe 10-12 years old when I saw him play and he was the sole reason I got addicted to Patriots football at all. Every time he intercepted the football I got so excited. It was my goal as a kid to watch Patriots games just waiting for the moment Law would pick the ball off. I'll never forget watching that AFC game where he got Manning 3 times... this dude brought me so much joy as a kid. Way more than Tom Brady, and Brady's arguably the greatest QB that's played the game. I'm so amped that Law got into the HOF finally. So well deserved.
Belichick made a ton of terrible decisions about letting veterans go bc the Pats were, and still are, so brutally cheap, but none of them felt worse at the time, and proved worse in the long run, than letting Law go. Hard to look at his career and think 'he could have done more', but finishing out with the Pats would have maximized his production - and I'd have been a lot happier. Perhaps the greatest 'We Really Need A Turn Right Now' corner in NFL history, he got better when it mattered most. A privilege to watch him.
I just met Ty Law. He was hands down one of the nicest, down to earth professional athletes or retired athlete that I have ever come across. Just such a great classy guy. Much Love.
Am I saying we would have won the 2006 AFC championship if we kept him? Not nessecarily. Am I saying Peyton wouldn’t come back that easy with Ty Law on this team. Absolutely.
My favorite Patriot of all time not named Tom Brady. Ty was amazing . Not the fastest not the strongest or most athletic, but absolutely one of the smartest , most physical and toughest corners in nfl history. He never shied away from tackling like a lot of corners , he would come up and stick you like a safety. He played his best agaisnt the best of competition and did it consistently over many years for my Pats .. ill never forget his pick 6 agaisnt the Rams in the SB or his 3 picks against Manning ans Harrison in the afc chip… he literally had more catches than Marvin Harrison did in the game 😂😂😂
As a diehard cowboys fan I hate the new England Patriots with a passion but ty law was a true lockdown corner he could defend against the best wide receivers in the league at that time and he earned the right to be called a nfl hall of Famer I still hate the new England Patriots but ty laws is one of the top 50 defensive players of all time
