How ironic this video came up , just this morning I had to put down a gelding I raised with a broken leg , happened in the pasture not even sure how it happened😭 But I've been watching The along time, TV and in person. Saw Paige interview Ty on RFD tv , think they were meant for each other.❤️
I haven't been a fan of rodeo as I think or did think that it was a cruel sport. I might well have been very wrong. This man plays heartfelt comments on every one of these horses that he pastured after they retired. It is good to hear the kind comments, one feels the warmth for the animals in his voice.
Thank you Linda for your heartfelt comments. The welfare of the animals has always been of genuine concern, and top priority to all of the Rodeo professionals ( and at all levels) in my experience and humble opinion. Warm Regards to you Ma'am, Shawn
Thank you Ty, for honoring these wonderful animals! I also provide a retirement home of older horses no longer being used. None of my guests are former bucking horses, but any horse of any discipline is deserving of a good retirement and a final resting place. Not to be cast aside and forgotten.
I salute for this. Honorable treatment. Retired with dignity. Knew Rusty for years. We were getting on him at high plains Jr rodeos. He could have went pro long before he did. Thank you
Absolutely brought tears to my eyes...thank you Ty ...for giving these great athletes and friends..the great respect they deserve ....without them there wouldn't be any cowboys....very heart felt of you...my hats off to ya!!!
Great thing you are doing there Mr Murray.... They deserve their tribute and their good final years.... You are to be Commended by both us and from above... Thank you, Sir....
Wonderful job Ty. We always talk about retired Cowboys being legends of the sport but without the stock there would be no rodeo. Thanks for giving them what they what they earned.
Good for you Ty. These great retired bucking horses needed a good home and you provided it for them my hats off to you for having a big heart to take care of them and giving them a place to be retired to.a true cowboy and a man's man. Keep it up there is a special place in heaven for cowboys and you lead the way !!
This is an awesome video I have mad respect for you guy's. I love to watch horses grazing in a pasture and running and playing with one another. Because I sure can't ride ...
Damn I remember that wreck Ty had at the 1990 NFR like it was yesterday. It occurred during the 9th round of the Saddle Bronc event & he was getting on Bo Skoal owned ( or leased who knows) by the Mesquite Rodeo company. Neal Gay was standing behind the chutes getting ready to flank Bo when he reared up, the chute was opened but I don’t recall as to whether Ty had called for him or not which resulted in Bo flipping over backwards on him and mashing his knee. He had just won the 9th go in the Bareback event too. That wreck along with Tuff Hedeman’s crazy hang up aboard Copenhagen Stinger in the Bull Riding were the craziest wrecks at the NFR that year. Ironic that Ty would end up burying the twin on his ranch.
@JeanFish. No Neal is Dons’ dad who owns and produces Mesquite Championship Rodeo that I believe is still going. One used to be able to watch it on the now defunct TNN channel. He does have 2 brothers, older I think named Pete & Jim.
@jeffrey schirm, in the chutes you have a gateman, the rider's assistant, and the riggin man. When the cowboy yells outside to the gateman, the riggin man yanks that riggin strap as hard and tight as possible. Gate swings open, better hold on and start marking that bronco! Yeehaw!
First ballot HOM in the biggest areas and he didn't have to even entertain the thought. Wave the markout rule and clear the alley. I'm no copenhagen angel and the great Bobbi Joe Skoal GBU Ty
Could have made some dog food with them but what-evs, I guess if it tickles your pickle we can only make dog food out of the horses that know body likes.
