Staggering; I never imagined anyone could build such a huge and action-packed layout! It's a dream to have so much nice US-1 stuff, and to have it DCC controlled makes it perfect to operate. Congratulations, I'd bet that your US-1 empire will never be equaled.
I 54 years old. By the time I began to grow an interest(when I was younger) in things such as this, the price caused them to be out of reach for even my folks to buy. This is really neat to watch and you should know you have a real treasure on your hands.
You've got to clear this up by six don't forget mummies coming for dinner tonight! Absolutely marvelous and it so reminds me of my childhood when my layout would be covering the whole floor. Great viewing.
I believe this is a scale representation of " man who lives alone land" . We all would like to live there some days. Lol. Impressive layout. I particularly like the loop around what appears to be the famous and bankrupt trump dining room tower.
I never had any luck with a girlfriend. So i prefer to model railroad. At least i get enjoyment from it. And i don't get yelled at like my ex girlfriend's used to do. Lol
Good Lord this layout is Massive!!! You must have every US 1 truck and action station ever made! And you got a model train in the mix as well are they customized tracks that allow them to cross over the US 1 tracks?
This is amazing. Lots of HO scale action and the trucks with the police chase every now and then was authentic. I could be wrong but was there sound from the trucks? Close call at 14:02, 14:09, and 15:34. My guess is you have them all speed matched.
I have never seen these vehicles/tracks before. Is this a “Covid” track. I’m sure the wife won’t let you keep it there permanently. My family used to go to Florida (March break) every year for 3 weeks. I covered the main floor of our home with my HO scale trains. 2 days to build, 2 weeks to play, 2 days to put away (after work). Cheers!
If I could make a suggestion. Maybe build a layout off the floor to put the tracks on. You could add scenery and it would keep them from accidentally being stepped on.
Great set up there. It would be great if more young teenagers & even 8 to 12 year olds would be running road race cars/trucks and trains instead of those computer games. I’m an N scale model railroader that is scratching building some of my own model railroad structures such as water towers, sanding towers, diesel fuel tanks, oil tank for the steam locomotive. I’m scratch building an N scale diesel service shop.
What a fantastic layout you have created. Was the criss-cross and police turn out part of the original US-1 trucking sets? I would love to get that police turn out for my son and I to play with. When you get a chance, please steer me on to what the name of that piece is. Thank you.
how do you have so many trucks sitting on side tracks and not run, how did the police car stop and then chase the yellow car. I have so many questions.
what adapter tracks did you use on that radar trap track can you post the serial number so that I can get the right ones...........the ones I bought won't work................please reply and add name and serial numbers
How is the track held together being it’s on carpet ? I had a big 3 story Victorian brick house and on the 3rd floor I had a big HO scale layout I had used small brads and nailed it to the hard wood floor it was in need of refinishing so it really did not hurt it when I listed it I had that floor redone before I sold it
I’ve twice purchased 50 pairs of tires from J&M Hobby House in San Carlos, CA. I purchased the orders in advance and the owner notified me when the orders arrived. It took a good while each time for the orders to arrive (1 or 2 months, I think). The tires are really good. Product information: Super Tires, SUT 220-BK, TOMY, for plastic tracks, .458 diameter, $2.79 per pair.
this is awesome. i just bought a US1 set at a yard sale and im addicted lol. do you know a source to get part like, switch station? ive only found them on ebay and they are very rare.
@@longjonx Thanks. As for parts, eBay is the most common source. You can also join the TYCO US1 Trucking group on Facebook as well as other Facebook slot car groups as some members offer items for sell or for trade.
