Tyco US1 Electric Trucking Large Detailed Track Layout 

Thanks I bought these for my kids when they were young. Stored in attic for years till I thought about doing this layout. I used to do trains when I was younger but don’t have a lot left from a flood we had into our home when I was a young man. I don’t know the scale size. They made these trucking sets from around 1980-1986. This layout consists of around five different sets combined with extra track and action sets and housing left over from my train days.

Still have a ton of that.

No the controller has a car like steering wheel. Turn one way forward and one way backwards. Really simple. thanks

+lorraine kaminski I did not use the standard power packs that came with these sets. This is about five different sets put together as one large layout. Only used the original controllers wired to a 12v power pack that I robbed out of an old computer tower. Only 2 steering wheels were used as I split the lanes to have individual power from the pack and each lane has it's own steering wheel control.....plus I wired in parallel two more hotted track pieces placed at about every 20th piece of track to give me steadier current. One of the hot tracks is on the small bridge just to give you an idea of distance from the controller and the other is near where you pick up the car/carrier. These sets were supplied with six volts from factory but in a large layout DC current gets less powerful further down the track. This set up will give steady 12v sine wave across the whole spectrum. The only thing is these are not track hugging vehicles so you have to watch your speed as you can flip them on corners on 12v current. Hope this helps and thanks for watching. Carl

@@cak0304 That wasn't an opinion. It is a FACT that it is out of focus. It is my OPINION, that you're a crummy photographer who is too lazy to do a reshoot once you found out it was blurry.

I have all the setups you have listed above i bought an estate sale couple of years ago. Currently working on an expansion of my original layout. Thanks for asking though. I think I do have a manual power lane switch track piece. Is the one your talking about have a brown switch lever?

yes what set came with the manual switch ? any idea?will you sell a Exxon station, a tow wrecker and /or a Manual switch? how much?

+railtruckdriver853 You can off load trailers at terminals loaded but must have a terminal for each trailer.This layout is made from approximately five different full layouts. One is from the nighthaulers set. Plus I added several pieces to it. I am currently expanding it to be around 80 feet with bridged overpasses and a full town all lighted up. It is a lot to do but when done will look real good I hope. i currently have it wired with house, street and model cars with lights in them which looks awesome . When I get it to a certain stage i will post another video to show expansion....I don't know when that will be as I put in time here and there when I can. +railtruckdriver853 yes that is correct. If you look at my video when it first starts pause it and look under the first blue section of bridge you see. if you look under it you will see a car carrier fully loaded in a terminal ready to pick up.
