Tye Tribbett shares how his parents divorce affected him and how it grew him closer to God. He also explains his thoughts on self restraint and the "Doctrine of Feeling."
Yes! i needed to hear this too... this is some of the things that people are dealing with nowadays and im so glad tye preached or talked about this...God Bless!!
Woooooow.... That helped me on so many levels. I was struggling with my prayer and I really wondered about how I felt after my prayers. Sometimes I don't feel like I am saved. Sometimes I don't feel like God has heard my prayers....
Wow Tye, I have been feeling this way for a long time. I am so glad that someone has finally expressed what I have been feeling. Basically if we all acted on what we feel this world would really be in trouble.
Tye is more my style. I like his delivery and I think he is more fitting for today's generation. He took on the task to being a leader. It takes a lot of work to do what he is doing. Quite commendable.
I've been dealing with this very issue. This reminds me of Jeremiah 17:9,10 where it says the heart is deceitful above all things and desperately wicked; who can know it? I the Lord, search the heart, I test the mind, even to give every man according to his ways, according to the fruit of his doings. This message was so powerful. Thanks for posting it. Be Blessed. :-)
1997 I went to my Dr. and some test was done. I been drinking for few yrs, my Dr. told me I need to stop drinking, my kidney and liver was double it size. I told my Dr. I am not a alcholic.. Went on my way. back in drinking and so on. about a week or two, setting in a bar stool I started to cry went the next to church and cry more fell to the floor acording to my sister but sisters and brothers I felt like was hold up in the air at least a few feet of the grnd the lord heal me
yes you have, thats why we have to repent and ask God to show us our heart (Jeremia 17:9) but even greater than that we have to allow the Spirit of God to transform our MINDS. to give us a pure heart and pure thoughts but it doesnt happen overnight it comes from walking in the spirit, feeding your spirit and not exposing yourself to things that may tempt you mentally (1 John 5:18, 1 John 3:9, 2 corinthians 6:14)
To those of you who are judging Tye Tribbett because of his past infidelity: Maybe you should watch the video again? Not once did he deny his brokenness. We all have fallen short of the glory of God. Why don't we extend grace and a helping hand to our brother instead of kicking him into the pits of hell?
As christians, we shd not be all that disturbed by what he is stating & , in fact, shd, be able to agree on a major point with him. Firstly recognize that because a prolific or famous person claims to believe and/or follow Christian teachings does NOT mean that they are actually a disciple. Be sure to see 1st Tim4 & Jude chapter1. Where we can agree with Mr.Tonex, is that one can be 'born' homosexual just as one is "born" like all sinners as a fornicators, adulterer, liar, etc., But Jesus SAVES
I'm 16 and a huge Tye Tribbett fan, and I have nothing against him. I'm actually going to his concert Friday. But doesn't the Word say that whosoever looks at a woman lustfully has already committed adultery with her in his heart? Isn't that still fulfilling the lust of the flesh based on the scriptural definition of adultery? Somebody let me know.
HaHA!!! Did he just preach in 4 minutes?! lol I love to hear the word made plain! No theatrics, no 6 syllable words, no gasping for air, just the word simple and plain.
