Davie I’ve seen you invent the wheel a few times but it seems like every episode you’re adding a new spoke! There are few channels as comprehensive as yours! Thank you for your channel and knowledge!

For anyone who hasn’t read your work, this demonstrates what you’ve written. This fly is a beauty. You can just see it will fish. Can’t wait to try this one, Davie. Little spring emerges are right around the corner.

Hello Davey. I’ve been watching and learning from you for a long time and just subscribed. You’re one of the best tiers I’ve ever seen. I’ll definitely put some of these in my box and keep watching a real master! Thanks for sharing your talents with us. Tom T - NJ USA

Really nice. Wish good wild CDC wasn’t so hard to get. May have to order from the UK. Maybe Cooks Hill. Want some Red Grouse anyway.

Personally I find “tree rat” even more useful than even hares mask for dubbing thorax and bodies for most dry emerger nymph shrimp patterns. As is or when blended with seals fur or synthetics. Also had some success with a 50/50 blend of squirrel with either natural or olive dyed hares mask for shrimps on Bewl Water.

Hi David, It's one of those flies that if tyed in different sizes will give the impression of a few flies both on rivers and lochs..Having a few in your box will not go wrong for you.. All the very best Davie

Have you heard of any patterns using buffalo or bison fur? I have some and can get more if there are any patterns that I could tie with it.

Hi Paul, I don't though I have got highland cow which is a lovely hair to use especially on salmon flies as it's lovely and long which is probably like the Bison hair, so I'm sure it would be great for a few flies.. All the very best Davie
