Thanks Davie!!! Smaller versions of this work well on redfish and speckled trout. The bunny strip has loads of action and the hackle pushes lots of water. Thanks for tying up some saltwater flies for us.
Здравствуйте Davie McPhail! Просто превосходная работа, спасибо за ваш труд, которым вы радуете нас, смотреть на вашу работу одно удовольствие. Сергей Н.
Great looking fly mate. You could use that one for muskies and bass. Thanks for sharing another great pattern to have in your box of goodies. Best Regards, Ken
Dave one thing we found here in southwest Florida is to make a loop out of 80# test line and tie it to the back ( it is laying flat or perpendicular to the hood shank) about half the length of the hook shank off the back. this will keep the feathers or rabbit fur from wrapping around the hook. It doesn't interfere with the action or catching a tarpon. Just a thought
Hi Ma Knife Rods, I have seen this before but I can't remember where, I've never tried it myself but I can see it working really well...I appreciate your kind words and for reminding me about this method..... All the very best Davie
This looks like something Dr. Suess dreamt up. I like the layer of varnish over UV. I found my UV flaking off in the salt water. So maybe the varnish will prevent that. I hope.
Hi Doug, It does help to seal the resin and stop water from getting under it which can happen especially in saltwater...Let me know how you get on... All the very best Davie
@@DavieMcPhail Hi Davie, Thank you for your response. I agree with what you are saying. It willl be a year before I can get back Saltwater fishing again. I will let you know how it turns out. Thanks you for all your invaluable advice. Doug Brien
