@@rawrfishing you can still use it to tie lures on look up the Sabiki knot by Salt Strong he uses a triple surgeon.

I don't really use loop knots for snake fishing. I usually use a heavy duty clip style snap. But I would use the Kreh's Loop knot if you really want something that is strong and won't slip

All line warp spools. Period! PE line does the least because it doesn't stretch. PE line warp spools mainly of user error. Such as too tight of a drag and also pulling snags using the spool. Same with mono and Fluorocarbon... But those are worse because they stretch. Like adding rubberband constantly onto a watermelon. It will squeeze tighter and tighter until it warps and blow up.
