Your welcome tax paying citizens. It was an honor to serve alongside brother and sisters. Those whom laid down their lives. Our forefathers. And forgive us for countless deaths, both friend and foe.
It's been over 50 years since I myself graduated marine corps boot camp and just watching this today gave me the same chill as it did that day. Oorah Semper fi marines

5546...Bandsman, Trombone, Depot Band, Headquarters and Service Company, Headquarter and Service Battalion, Parris Island, South Carolina, 1979-1981. This was my favorite ceremony to perform. Semper Fi!
Outstanding coverage, enjoyed this tremendously. I am a US Navy Veteran of 22 years of proud service. Congratulations to these new US Marines, and God Bless You for your dedication to our great Country, United States of America
Congratulations Marines. Thank you Drill Instructors and Support Personnel. PISC 24 Oct 74-21 Jan 75 USMC 1974-1996 GySgt Retired. I'd do it again in a heartbeat.
This was a proudest day of my life. I never felt so wonderful ever again. I was 17 years old and 3 weeks. I went to boot camp I thought it knew everything I didn't know anything. I can't believe I passed and graduated. So many things that I was able to overcome. My dad showed up we had no communication with the outside world. No phone calls. we got letters that's it. We were never allowed to call home. I never forget it and I'll always cherish that memory. I was so proud and I was in the best shit in my life and I felt wonderful. 🇺🇲✝️🙏
OORAH MARINE … SEMPER FI TO One of the LAST OF THE GREAT US TRADITIONS … USMC… GRADUATION … PARIS ISLAND …You are always a part of the 1% CAPABLE OF DEFENDING OUR COUNTRY …💪💪💪💪💪
@@ChasOnErie I appreciate your comment very much. The greatest day in my life at least one of them is when I graduated from Parris Island when I was 17 years old I was very proud of myself for being able to overcome obstacles and fear. I can't imagine today 17 year old going through that. I just can't the change me forever and I really grew up in the Marine Corps I did two tours but I got hurt and had to be retired but I was very proud to be a member of the United States Marine Corps and that's for sure. One of the finest fighting forces on the planet
Congratulations Marines! The journey you have endured will be with you for the rest of your life. Thanks for this video! I graduated from Platoon 3077 on October 7, 1983 and retired from the Marine Corps in July 2013. I remember Bootcamp like it was yesterday. Semper Fidelis from this Old Marine Master Gunnery Sergrant. Ohhh Rahhh!!!
A huge congratulations to all those brave men and women passing out (graduation) I remember mine in 1986 (British army) it's a special day and a proud day. It's great to see our brave cousins across the pond earning the right to be called marines. It's no easy feat. I once remember and celebrates British brigadier commenting on how fantastic the USMC were whilst working together in desert storm 1. Nothing but 100 percent admiration on how these marines conducted themselves. How they wanted to learn and how.much they showed an interest in the bigger picture. Brave men and women who can always be proud.
Wow, things have changed a bit since I graduated from Parris Island with platoon 391 in 1971. Still proud to watch the best of military tradition here!
Damn, that brings back some great memories. My mother had never been on an airplane in her life, she flew out to MCRD San Diego for my graduation with my then girlfriend, now wife of 39 years.
What an amazing show of respect and discipline....with full support of family and friends that came to see this graduation event....Congratulations to all who completed the training and are continuing to serve to the present!!
As a former career active duty U.S. Marine (0341 to 6541) and graduate of MCRD San Diego, CA the one thing I don't like about the Corps was having to get out. Semper Fi, Mac.....
OOh, so beautiful. I've watched a few A at graduations MCRDSD. So cool to watch. Marines are so different. I've been to Army bases and Marine bases and the differences are absolutely astounding. Appearance, and complete respect. My Dad is a retired Marine Vietnam Combat Marine. We are a Marine family. We go to Del Mar Beach every chance lol
I saw a kid move from Jr. HS marching band, to championship HS marching band, to the Marine Corps. I bet the marching and the instrument playing was a piece of cake for him, when he got to boot camp. I hope he was able to audition for some of the music jobs in the USMC. Currently stationed in Japan.
MY GRANDSON FROM WISCONSIN GRADUATED IN 2022. HE IS KIERAN SAFIA. IM SO PROUD OF HIM .IM LIVING IN IRELAND 🇮🇪 +SEND ALL GODS BLESSINGS TO ALL THE USMC.
As a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary Post 3308, Tallahassee, Florida, thank you for your will and commitment to serve. CONGRATULATIONS MARINES!!
that 1stSgt's trousers were screaming for relief. I remember when the Corps had weight standards. I hope your Marine is doing well though, happy veterans day.
You might be interested in a documentary I am in, that depicts a live period of time in 10 parts, RU-vid :A Face of War". sure seems like a long time ago.
THANK God for US USMC SEMPER FI i'm a usmc veteran of 10 years and im proud of our new members of THE usmc marines THE proud THE few the USMC OOOOOOOOORAHHHHHHH happy veterans day... Left Left Left RIGHT Left
I'm just glad I had the opportunity to become a Marine. Never thinking if I could should. I just tell people I'm a former active duty Marine. Semper Fi. I will never forget my graduation. Maybe I would say the cruisible.
@@robmbk3514 stay of the radar. Move as fast as you can. Sound off as loud as possible. Pay attention to close order drill commands. Take the rifle range seriously. Study the big green book. Have integrity and you should be ok. Bootcamp is a quarter of being a fleet Marine. Get ready for the next 4 years of your life.
I graduated in 1985 my father was a retired Marine and both my brothers also went in the Marines. I guess u could say we were family of Marines. I loved the Marine Corps and still do. It was some of the best days of my life.
@@jimmypittsburgh2914 After school I went straight to the rock or Okinawa. I went to moving target simulator school in Korea and deployed in the Philippines while I was stationed in Okinawa. I reuped for 6 years with a bonus and 3 years later got injured fast roping out of a CH46 while in the med aboard the USS NASSAU. I got out on a medical and now on disability.
I knew Marines who mustered from boot camp with their instructors, their instructors were their sergeant s who went with them directly into combat, with two weeks training after boot camp. Admittedly, A moment in time, but for a few, it happened.
@ Mr. Scanlon: You are someone from the Old Corps. One of the "salts" from my first FMF unit, 1963 H/2/7 at Las Pulgas had served in China before the Commies took over. I think he retired that year, '63.
Certainly not the corps of years ago. I was in 87-94. We had a cat in our platoon, 2nd Battalion, F-Company at PI that refused to follow orders.....a regular smart ass. During snap in week at the range he started some crap with one of our DI's. Our 4 DI's took him back to the range barracks we were berthed in. Some time passed and they all came back. However, said recruit was walking a slower, slightly hunched over, head down. We all new there was some "attitude adjustment" given and rightfully so. There was never a problem with him after that. Turned out to be a squared away Marine. Nobody ever challenged him in prior civilian life...Uncle Sam=our DI's saw if differently. Semper Fi to all D-Dogs here!! It is an honor!!!
Well done all of you, I have a question about the difference in dress, why do the male marines have shirts tucked in and the female not? I passed out as a cavalry soldier in the British Army in 1982 and served until 2002, on my parade it started snowing o we all looked like snowmen by the end lol.

I’m not in the marine core nor would I make it in the marine core ( t.b.h. ) , I do hope ALL marines adjust the civi life well after they have served , it wouldn’t be easy living with the general public. Much respect to all that serve
There are levels within but even the most die hard manage to adjust just enough to life after in order to function. Do civilians do things different? Sure they do, a store that reads opening at 9 and opens at 905 pisses you, having been waiting there since 845 lol. To answer your question, the Corps today has changed a ton and Im not up to date on dress standards but I can say those D.I.s marching with arm swings of 2 feet to the front and same to the rear is Fn unsat! And its Atttennn TION now huh.... S.F.
I'm happy for my friends in 3074, I was injured and unfortunately seen a incident that happened last September with Lima, so I was separated for possible mental health issues. Wish I could've stayed. 2021-2021
How’d I accidentally come across my graduation. This was motivating. In the fleet you lose a lot of heat on your fire. Find more ways to make it strong again. OORAH
Semper Fi Brothers this is where you begin to know why God put you on this earth. You will never be alone, and people won’t know you but they will know what you are because the way you have been trained and the way you hold yourself.
A great ceremony I wished we had this here in Gernany! A question please : can somebody please explain why the brown hats are worn with the front lowered? I thank you in advance❤
I see from some of the posts belittling the current crop of Marines and not like the ones of "yesteryear." Well ask the vets and those wounded in Irag and Afghanistan whether they met the standards of "Marines of yesteryear."
Not the same Corps as us “Old Timers” remember with pretty female Drill Instructors and ‘Integrated training.’ Is this making for better Combat Effectiveness-Political Correctness be damned, Combat Effectiveness is all that counts?
Combat effectiveness would show up in poor morale, unable to complete the mission, or higher casualty counts. What does your research show? The Israeli Defense Force has women in combat roles. You sound like another grump who can't adjust to changing times.
@@XJarhead360 IDF stay at home (Israel) and is strictly a defense force. I’m a Marine veteran and I can say that women don’t belong in combat with men for a multitude of reasons. When I was in Somalia we made a toilet over a trench. I remember sitting on it with my pants around my ankles and my m16 across my lap when a female army truck driver drove by-I thought to myself then “this is just wrong.” The reality is they use a different standard when women are envolved, and a bunch of young bucks quickly loose all interest in training when the girls are present!
I was a Blue Jacket and the Marines sure plaid he'll with us at the gate leaving and entering the Navel Base Norfork. God bless them and all who followed, Semperfi.
Wow! The marching commands are vocalized like the Army now. Small things like that gave the Marines a mark of uniqueness or distinction. It’s like back in the Sixties, they lost their combat boots; that had a height to only cover the ankles. Now I hear they’re going to lose their tank support units. Will the Marine Corp switch to Army OD uniforms next?
Seandainya sy msh muda.....dan mngkn wkt itu sdh ada hp android...1990 an......sy ingin k amerika utk mndftar jd prajurit marinir.....krn d indonesia utk msk di tni/polri sangat sulit.....klo d amerika biar pke kacamata....tinggi bdan kurang ....gemuk...kurus tdk jd masalah yg pnting sehat....siap mntal dan fisik ...💪💪💪🇲🇨🇱🇷❤
I remember the day of my graduation, it was the most thrilling experience I’ve ever felt in my life, I felt so good that I had accomplished something and on the inside I was crying like a baby, I know I was shedding tears, I’ll never forget it, it’s an experience only a marine will feel, to receive your eagle globe and anchor These Marines have something to be proud of, stay safe out there Semper Fi do or die❤🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
Thank for you reply I think we misenderstood each other.I don't doubt it for a moment thin honor and pride in serving but above all theys are humans beings don't forget good bless you Veteran volonteer of 6 days war in 1967
Women in the military will always surprise me & make me shake my head at the same time... Especially if women serve as infantry. Where has the distinguishing line between male and female gone!!??
I think that my old barracks 2nd Battalion the street divided us from parade deck. Use look out port holes dreaming of the day we would graduate it rained March 25 1994 we graduated indoors 2149 Echo Company
