during BLM, a lot of people were tweeting at him saying that he should use his platform to promote BLM and many fans were, in my personal opinion, being a bit toxic towards him saying he wasn't doing "enough." obviously the dynamic between Tyler and the fans has always been a bit humorous and silly, but he tweeted a pic of himself in high-platform shoes saying that he was "using his platform." It was a pretty dumb idea to post it and a lot of people felt hurt by it. I genuinely appreciated his apology.

The post he made was largely misinterpreted. The post about using his “platforms” had nothing to do with people asking him to talk about BLM at all. He posted that, and then proceeded to post a thread about mental health and suicide. so he was using his platform, but people didn’t read any of his follow-up tweets and assumed it was a slight at BLM
