Saw Tyler open for The Secret sisters this past weekend. Had never heard Tyler before. He was brilliant…. Very impressive artist…don’t short Tyler… he’s got it!
Just beautiful. Hear a bit of Neil Young in there. Jackson Brown too. That said Tyler Ramsey is unique, nothing else like these sounds out there. Brilliant.
Beautiful, poetic lyrics that I relate to having lived abroad for half of my life. Earnest & sincere, this is the kind of american contemporary music that takes things back to the blues/ folk roots, to the good blues/ folk scene of the 1970's. The voice reminds me of Neil Young, music I grew up with because both my parents were into him (my mum was heavily pregnant with me when they went to a concert of his in London!)
I saw Tyler perform last week in Brussels in a little upstairs room at Ancienne Belgique while I was on a brief vacation. Got a chance to say hello, chat for a bit, take a quick photo, and buy his CD. Hope to see him again here in the U.S. this summer.
Des tonalités dans la voix qui évoquent Neil Young. On se laisse captiver dès la première écoute. Une belle découverte que ce grand personnage. J ai bien hâte de le voir sur scène à Paris au mois de mai.🎤
While I absolutley agree with you, along with Bill Reynolds, i have a feeling it wasnt the best situation in the end for both dudes to fulfill their full potentials. My guess is Ben was hard too work with, or the money wasnt good? Tyler and Ben did have great harmonies together, though. And Tyler is a fuckin great guitarist, which they definitely miss. But he is also a great songwriter. Tyler's songs were some of BOH's highlights. But they seemed to be only 1 per album, come on! Still listen to BOH, but i also follow Tyler now.
