He's doing it so effortlessly. Chris can sing absolutely everything

Chris Stapleton is one of my favourite artists of all time, but no one can quite do it like Elvis.

No offense to any of the artists who Chris has covered and obviously this is a personal opinion. But every time I remember a song and then I hear Chris cover it, it's like oh yeah that's what it's supposed to sound like. He sings to the anthem of the artist and never tries out doing them even though he completely could it's so respectful and so awesome to watch him sing. Once in a lifetime voice and artist.

I'm 59 and I have loved this song since the first time I heard it, and Chris does it all the justice it deserves. This man is a national treasure to country music.

One of the first dances I had with my first girlfriend Lisa in 1984 with Willie Nelson singing it, she was 17 and I was 18.. but Chris does an amazing job and it still brings a tear to my eye, only because I had no idea my girlfriend would end up pregnant a year later with our baby girl that she ended up giving to adoption after I already left.. Her grandmother who adopted Lisa wanted her to have an abortion I found out later on... I never knew any of this because we had a fall out in 1985 and I ended up moving away 4000 miles and cut off all communication with her. Today my daughter and I are in communication and she is beautiful and I have been blessed with 7 grandchildren... We found each other on facebook 3 years ago... I know... It's stuff only movies are made of... I was a pride driven egotistic delinquent at that age because I didn't know any better and that took a tolle on Lisa eventually and our relationship.. She was seeing someone else in 1985 behind my back and I never forgave her for it, but it wasn't her fault because I decided to hang out with no good friends and ignored her 98% of the time. I left to come out west with one of these friends who I haven't seen now for almost 40 years... I love this song because it always takes me back to that innocent moment we both held on to each other and danced to it... It wasn't easy after I left because I went on a drunken stupor and took drugs for 20 years because I was extremely depressed and suicidal 3 times in those days... I have been sober now for 19 years and extremely happy and healthy. Lisa and I haven't seen each other for 40 years.

Everything about this is a feast for the senses. Chris' voice, the song, the Steinway piano, the pianists' fedora, the subtle guitar solo, the stage layout, color....

I don't know how it's even possible, but country music can make me kinda nostalgic for a world I've never been and never seen. It calms down and gives a feeling of infinity of time as if our life is not so short at all. It gives me meaning and desire to keep living through this difficult time

Chris Stapleton is a modern day Elvis Presley. There doesn't seem to be a song he doesn't make his own.

I think Willie would be so proud. This is a favorite of mine and I love the way Chris did it just like it’s supposed to be done.

The brother can simply bring it. Wonderful performance. A great tribute to Willie.

Chris knows when a song requires subtlety and he pulls this one off perfectly to honor Willie

I absolutely love Chris and his music. What a talent!!! With that said, some songs just can’t compare. Willie Nelson and Elvis Presley’s versions can’t be challenged.

When I saw the title I immediately thought “oh hell yeah! He’s gonna sing the shit out of this.” Even when you set an insanely high bar, this man delivers.
