Tyler attracts the "I don't listen to mainstream music" types, the ones that wanna feel special by liking someone others don't know about, and they'll call him a sellout or say he went downhill just for being popular.
@Lotus Starr you are not a real fan when cherry bomb came out in 2015 nobody played that shit nobody liked that shit and Tyler found out from the perception of it, it wasn’t good. when flower boy came out in 2017, that’s when people started fucking with him again. 2011-2013 was his peak when it was 2015 people were saying he was gonna fall off
I love Tyler but genuinely dislike the fanbase. They booed drake of all people off the stage and he was performing wu tang forever which is rare asf. The way they act, you’d think they’re the ones that sat in the booth and recorded all the songs Tyler wrote.
Drake is a pedophile that has been grooming minors for years. Not that surprising that people in this community wouldn't welcome him with open arms. Also the festival really fucked up their communication regarding the mystery act, hinting at Frank constantly
I mean they were expecting Frank Ocean to perform for the first time in YEARS and then Drake of all people walks on stage. I’d be pissed too like get the fuck outta here I didn’t pay to listen to you.
They were expecting a performer who wasn’t guaranteed, showed no actual hints or signs that they were going to be at the event and got mad when another artist came on stage, even as someone who doesn’t like p drizzy445 that’s just the fans being L human beings
This aged poorly. Dude defended drake so hard here only for him to perform at Kendricks concert. Anyone in these comments defending a grown ass man texting, kissing, and befriending teenagers can go straight to hell. Honestly it isnt surprising he defended drake so much considering he made the song "fucking young", and told drake hes got a millie for him..
I was at that concert, the only people booing were the ones who stayed in the front all day because they deluded themselves into thinking the mystery artist would be frank ocean. The vast majority of the crowd was hyped. None of y’all talking about this were there and it shows.
Not enough people talk about this, Twitter haters watching a livestream are the one’s who think everyone was booing. 97% of the crowd was vibing. Drake is a legend
Tyler's fans are the epitome of everyone who pretends they just want to be equal when in reality they want to be better than everyone else. The point I'm making is that his fan base pretends as if they're the outcast and not the popular kids yet all do is gatekeep and judge everyone else.
Well the fans wanted to see frank but they were disappointed and mad at the moment so they saw drake😂 an said “fuck you”. Which was very disrespectful and rude but at the same funny
@@Muteyoshi260 to be fair, I think the fans booing drake was lame, but I'm not surprised that Tyler fans didn't care to see a Drake performance. You'd think Tyler would know that
@@Muteyoshi260 everyone and their mom knows that’s Tyler’s fanbase is made up of “quirky white kids” who aren’t like other. Bringing the biggest mainstream rapper to a show full of those kids is such a bad idea. Plus drake is also a former “nerd” and use to get bullied in school so he can’t handle a crowd booing him cause he has a fragile ego.
@@sibusiso2841 I thought I was the only one who’d agree, they woulda booed Beyoncé if she got up there singing a bunch of Kobe songs and shit like drake was doing😭
I’m surprised he thought this was even going to go over well. He should’ve known better, a whole audience asking you to play “Tron Cat” isn’t going to welcome someone like Drake😂
Tyler definitely has some of the weirdest fans. Like they'll get offended if your list of his albums is not exactly like their list. "You would make list like that"
Love tyler, but his fans are extremely pretentious, feel like they have the best taste in music, and generally annoying. I mostly reserve these attributes to newer fans since they’re the kinda people who would’ve tried to cancel him when he first came out.
Yeah. I used to be big into Tyler but I still really like his music (Especially Wolf & Scum Fuck Flower Boy). Bro I can't believe half of these stans think they be better then everyone else because they listen to tyler.
astroworld was the exact same night as flognaw, ALL OF US were expecting drake and everyone was hyped. we got kanye which isn’t bad but funny seeing the dynamic
I’m a fan of both, so I wouldn’t have booed, even being a much bigger fan of Tyler. That being said, I don’t blame the hardcores at all for booing. Y’all have no music together and don’t even occupy the same space. Lie to me y’all and lmk the last time Tyler and drake were played right after one another at the kickback. I think he would’ve gotten the same reaction if he asked the crowd to make some noise for future, one of the migos, post Malone, etc. I don’t think it’s cause his fans don’t like popular artists either. Like lil uzi, playboi carti, asap, 21 savage, I think there are a ton of “mainstream” artists that would’ve gotten a great reception
Aight well here the true story. We show up to the show and it’s been a question the whole time and everyone thought it was Frank. We are all in the crowd, lil uzi and asap rocky do a set, forget who went first but that happens. Each get like 15-20 minutes Drake comes out and performs maybe 4 songs, it’s been 15 minutes and it’s still way early in the night so people thinking “damn must be more coming this shit is crazy” but drake says “want me to keep going?” You just did a set like the others and it’s like 45 minutes til the shows over, so people think drake is tryna stay out there to prevent the next man from coming out. Front of the crowd says no and some boo, most the people there were just chilling like us, drake leaves anyways 10 minutes go bye and usually if a set is over or the night is ending the huge tvs they have set up say “thank you for coming” or “up next…(artist) Nothing happens, and when 15 minutes goes bye, it says thank you for coming, and everyone leaves confused. Drake was never announced to be there and The mystery just confused everybody.
Love Tyler and his music, but ever since Flower Boy, he’s attracted some of the most pretentious “I don’t listen to mainstream music” fans in the entire industry. It comes as no shock to see them boo Drake off stage.
I guess I can't be bundled in that group because I've never been to his shows yet. He's possibly the most popular artist I happen to listen to currently. Definitely feels mainstream with the people featured on his albums. I like earl too and I feel he's more eccentric. I don't listen to drake for sure though.
I love Tyler, and I can only say that about 2-3 artists. Drake is not it bruh, and he wasn’t it then. Yes he’s widely popular and has talent, but he is not unapologetically himself like you are. He is always trying to be something else…ur audience deserves realness. We rocked with you thru all your weird stages like Goblin and Loiter Squad, and all the gae things u say. And love you no matter how weird you are, in fact we love you because of how weird you are. It takes courage to express all aspects of yourself the way u do. So in summary, I would’ve booed him too.
For anyone that is saying his fans were disrespectful you must not know about drake he's creepy and most people that are the age of most of Tyler's fans don't like drake some of us might bump a song or two but yeah drake is a creep and Tyler didn't know his fans as well as he thought he did cause if he did he would know that 90% of his fans don't like drake as a person
You gotta be like 13 I’ve been listening to tyler since goblin and drake for even longer tyler has shown love to drake throughout his entire career also You’re calling someone you’ve never met creepy and he doesnt have to know his fans to ask one of his favorite artist to perform at his festival and its mfs who started listening to tyler after flower boy that dont like drake because you kids let memes and if people are gay or not determine if you like them or not no matter if you’ve ever met them
@@alexbrady7845 You don't need to meet someone to know they are creepy. An artist's work can speak for itself. Go listen to Marvin's Room. Read the lyrics. If you think it sounds normal and completely fine you are also a creep and need serious help. Drake has been shown not through hitpieces or jealous hatred but his own works and actions within the public eye to be a misogynsitic drunk and someone who has acted creepy towards underage fans on camera. This is not difficult info to find. Simply read his lyrics and look up the relevant articles and videos. It's not like he's the punk band Dwarves and he's singing about being a drunken abuser for entertainment purposes or shock value. He thinks it's normal and defensible to sing: "I'll start hatin' only if you make me"
@@zozihn8047 Dude Marvin’s Room is literally about a man making a mistake under the influence of alcohol and calling the girl who broke up with him and saying f the dude your with right now because he’s still in his feelings over her and wants what they had back. How tf is that creepy?
It doesnt matter, you pay the tickets to see Tyler and Frank, but Frank didnt show up And then, the BIGGEST artist in the world accept to replace Frank and you still complain?? I mean, you should be mad with Frank not Drake 🤷🏻♂️
Come on, look at the Set and compare it to anything else Drake has performed in, Camp Flognaw is not the vibe for him, Tyler should’ve known this, the boo’s were expected, 2 totally different Fan bases for both artists.
If your fans are the type to line up around the block to buy a piece of clothing from your store, then they are definitely the type to yell and hate when they don’t get what they want.
I feel like this shows Tylers immaturity lets be real he brought drake through to perform for him not his fans, Tyler asked drake to play his favorite songs, had no idea about drakes current scandal at the time, and was dancing in the crowd completely oblivious to everything going on around him. Idk where everything went wrong but it all seems messy on Tylers side.
A stereotypical Tyler fan prolly hates drake fans because they think their fav artist makes music with more substance or Watever only to realize Tyler is a drake fan 😂😂😂
If you've ever been to a Tyler show you know that every fan thinks they're Tyler but is actually just a mentally ill teenager w/Odd Future socks from Zumiez. Source- I've been to 5 Tyler shows so I'm confirmed mentally ill
I'm sorry I'm a tyler fan myself but this is dumb bro why yall boo drake and on top of that some people I know that listen to tyler think they are better than everyone bc of Tyler's persona like dude chill enjoy the music
Comments don't have a clue about what actually happened, EVERYBODY thought it was going to be Frank for months leading up, it was all anybody on CFG social medias was talking about, there were kids camping at the front of the stage from like 3pm with Frank merch on. Tyler came on stage at headline spot time and said he was bringing some friends out, it was ASAP (everybody hyped), then Uzi (everybody hyped) and then Drake (everybody confused af). Drake said he was only doing a few songs so everyone was waiting for Frank to still come out, then he just kept going and the crowd turned on him cause they realised Frank wasn't there. Wasn't the fans fault, they should have just said it's not going to be Frank before the headline spot and it would have been fine. Case study on managing expectations.
