I feel like you don't get to fully understand IGOR'S THEME until you listen to the entire album, I'm pretty sure this love cycle goes on a loop and ends in "ARE WE STILL FRIENDS?" only to restart with the opening track (they are thematically connected with the same type of synth at the beginning and ending of the respective tracks). Tyler has finally gotten over his crush/lover and feels sure of himself (he feels this one and he's gonna show the world) until EARFQUAKE where he falls once again. It's not really about Cherry Bomb I think .. My take

I have this thought where when he describes “Igor” as the aggressive and raw personality of Tyler, i think that that Tyler is him kicking into his old choices and old personality by him knowing that he isn’t ready for the relationship he’s in. The Tyler that is craving for his lover’s love and is blinding himself from knowing the relationship is failing is Igor and the rebellious and aggressive side of him is his true thought on his situation.
