My head canon is that it really was Liquid in MGS2, and afterwards Ocelot removed that arm and got a different one. The one we see here in MGS4 doesn't really resemble a flesh arm. It certainly doesn't look anything like it did in MGS2. This would also explain the voices.
I slightly disagree with FROMSOFTWARE's combat design being shallow. Yes the player moveset is fairly basic, but lots of depth come from enemies' movesets. In DMC you master your character, in souls games you master the world and enemies. Moreover, the lack of input canceling demands more deliberate and determinate choices than other action games. So while there is less choice, the choices themselves matter more. I won't pretend souls combat has tons of layers, but I do think it deserves some more credit. And as a side note, I don't even consider the DMC/Bayo combat to be a gold standard either. This is simply because it overemphasizes memorizing and exectuing long strigs of commands in a deterministic way, which is very technical in nature and I don't consider it as mechanically interesting as "softer" skills like spacing and resource management.
In interloper it seemed that you were shooting the enslaved vortigaunts! You don’t need to do that because they won’t attack you (except for some later). It’s also why the vortigaunts see Gordon as a hero in half life 2.
I see how well made the song (and album) is and how deep it is. But for me I can't really bring myself to actually enjoy it. I'm not black, rich, poor, american and I'm also not an artist, so there's really nothing that could make me relate to this song/album. In addition to that (at least for me): I don't think TPAB has great replay value... I totally understand why people who actually relate to it, would say it's one of the best albums OAT. But I just can't say so at all, which is a bummer tbh

The decline started with Dead Rising 2 its totally different than part 1 and its really not as good the cinematography went out the window mostly back and forth bs, so did the writing and the characters I'm playing it now and there's like only one or two decent psychos so far voice acting also worse I grew up messing around in dr2 only played dr1 recently, and I like it way more than dr2
Metal Gear Solid has to be my favorite game series of all time. There's so many cool easter-eggs and carefully placed mechanics that make it so much more interesting no matter the type of play-style you go for. MGS4 in my opinion did it the best. There are definitely little features you didn't mention that are quite neat, to be honest! I think the most notable one is how the rebels (i forgot their official name in each respective chapter) are more in the red-zone on higher difficulties, so it makes earning their favor/trust much harder, especially when trying to get the harder emblems (my original Big Boss emblem run was sluggish specifically because of Act 1 and the early sections of Act 2).
Everyone who makes Dead Island videos always forget about the Analog control scheme, and they never ment how the Definitive Edition is objectively worse than Vanilla. Also, DI2 fails in removing commitment from build-crafting, and severely limiting the amount of savefiles we can keep. Also, no analog scheme, a hallmark of the franchise.

Sure, they’re ’zombie-like’, but you’ve just seen another nanomachine test being conducted; I think it’s fairly obvious that they are PMCs that are trying to stop you while combating the after effects of Liquid’s test. The fact you think they’re actual zombies baffles me.

What if the 1st verse was supposed to be religious may be a stretch however it makes sense to me imagine this from adams perspecruve(adam or eve) at first i did love you.. but now i just want to fuck is lust. After eve ate the forbidden fruit humans felt all the horrible things about the world. You were my first girlfriend the preposition first suggests a beggining. Like the beggining of the bible. Adam and eve hit me would be eve eating the forbidden fruit and the every n*gga is a star would be the temptation and persuasion. Lust is a huge theme in the first verse so to me it makes sense. With all the ignorant things kendrick says in this song also strengthens my belief i also feel that the cocoon could be a metaphore for the earth saying. When the 4 corners collide meaning that when people come to link together. Youll slip through the cracks could mean that. When you meet people war will vreak out and you will pray to survive.. opinions?!?
One ending I never see brought up that I think is really impactful is the Silly Birds ending. This ending loops back to the very first theme the game presents us with: Stanley content pushing buttons for eternity. And even though this ending ends with Stanley pretty much exactly where he started, just in a different room with different buttons, it ends the same way the Freedom ending does, "And Stanley was happy." Where the Freedom ending has Stanley escaping his boring, monotonous life, the Silly Birds ending comments on escapism, where instead of seizing their opportunities and living their lives, some gamers will lock themselves inside, escaping into the world of their games, possibly even this very game. Even with the contradictions the Narration has in the Freedom ending, the player has a sense of peace, feeling that Stanley really is happy, but in the Silly Birds ending, the words feel wrong. Especially since we're led to compare it to the Freedom ending which, if we were in Stanley's shoes, would be an immeasurably better outcome.
I enjoyed DR4 even tho yes DR3 was the last before the downhill climb. DRDR is definitely gonna be worse than DR4 due to them removing and censoring what made DR1 so great. Capcom wants their franchises to die by focusing on DEI so why not let them die by not giving them our money.
The frequent Sonic Unleashed music use is something I wouldn't expect from a Zombies video but I love it. Great video, Ive come back to it a couple of times
On my most recent playthrough, I wasn't aware of the ally system, and the base in act 1 was legitimately hostile. The rebels only left me alone once I found a disguise. I didn't even kill anyone. They just saw me as hostile. Also Sunny is fucking annoying
