The main building is finally assembled. the three chimneys make this building unique. too many fire places make for a interesting dilemma. thank you for your patience. enjoy.
Hi Tony, what a difference now the buildings are all framed and together, hard to believe what stood before! Certainly a big improvementand now in keeping with the rest of the layout. Including all those unique features, lift, subway, water fountains et al…. Enjoy the sunny weather and those weekends away. All the best to you both Celia and Stephen.
Hello Stephen. yep its all change here. soon it will be as if the original never stood here at all. Absolutely its just nice to enjoy getting out and about. cheer's for now my friend. i hope all is well in sunny Canada. best wishes Tony & Laura.
Good morning Terry. absolutely. he will have all the mod cons. similar to what i have done many other station masters offices. take care my friend. tony.
Well, there are some who would say that one could never have too many fireplaces. Not the insurance adjustor, mind you! Anyhow... another wonderful segment... and it is just such a brilliant perspective as is. SUch amazing details! You leave nothing out. Cheers, Tony for such wonderful joys in modeling!
Great video. Tyne Dock Station is coming along. Unlike you, I'm spending more time inside then outside. For almost two weeks now our temperatures highs have been 40°- 42°C in central California. Our low temperatures have been 21°- 24°C. The garden is still surviving. Bill and Janet from California
Good morning Bill & Janet. that is unbelievable weather your having out there is sunny California. too hot for me 18-20 will do me fine. take care and stay safe. i know dangerous it can be with these high temperatures. all the best Tony.
Hi there and great looking Train at the beginning of the video!! Nice looking building you are re doing :). And now back on to the Layout it go's!!!!! And looking good you are off to a good start wow just great!!! Thanks for the video and have a great week too cheers mate!!!!!
Great progress Tony. I was thinking I must’ve got behind with your progress but happily not. I know only too well how time runs away with you especially At this time of year. I’ve had a weekend of golf in Spain, followed by my own club championships the following weekend and now I’m in Cyprus sorting out my apartment for the summer. So busy and I am retired! Well done on a fab video. Roy.
Good morning Roy. This year has been even busier than last year. i think we are just making up for lost time. but yes time waits for no man. take care all the best Tony.
Well nice to hear and see you again Tony, Tyne Dock is coming along nicely I have started building Metcalfe kits again , my first attempt was awful but I have got back in the swing for the second one. Rainy season here but no so hot So have a good one see you again soon
Good morning James. its great to hear that you are not giving up on making kits. its always a learning curve. who knows with a bit more practice you will building your own builds. take care my friend. Tony. Positivity and Patience.
Thanks Tony, good to see the progress and hear you. I look forward to the next instalment in a month. The station is coming on and the detail is impressive. Enjoy the summer. We've not had a summer yet I the North West of ireland. My bees are not able to get out for nectar on a regular basis, so my honey yield is going to be zero.
Hello Peter, there is still time for the bees to turn things around and produce the honey for you. Life is so busy this year. so yes see you in month. all the best my friend. Tony.
Good evening Tony the building is coming on a pace old Sid will soon be back in his station. Bet he will be glad he doesn't have to lite the fires or clean the grates. Keep up the good work buddy I can't wait for the next installment. Stephen
Hi Tony, you can never have too many fireplaces lol. Understandable about you needing more time for other things during the so called summer. It's spoil Mrs T time my friend.
Absolutely my friend. I agree. it seems i have spent years in the loft and not much getting out and about. if only i was retired. i could do both. that's just wishful thinking on my part. so a happy balance is required. thanks again for commenting Steve. stay safe Tony.
I think my problem is starting too many projects at one time and not taking enough time away from the building and repairing locos. (Bachmann Split Chassis Models.) etc. The station is coming along nicely Tony. Martin. (Thailand)
Hello Martin. that is the trouble, we were only blessed with one pair of hands & Brain, so one at a time my friend. as we could end up in a pickle. all the best Tony.
Hi Tony, having much the same problem as you, not spending enough time on the railway to put video’s out, to many other things that need doing, currently re-pointing my patio areas, not my favourite job and quite time consuming!!!! Tyne Dock is really starting to take shape, really starting to get the feeling of how it’s going to look. Right, got to go more re-pointing to do, lol!!!! Cheers for now mate, John
Hi John. i agree. especially when i get in from work. just knackered these days. but hopefully i will get re-focused and spend more on railway. that reminds me my patio has not been touched since i laid it back 2014. i do have a few sunken slabs that need re-lifting. its never ending mate...take care buddy. Tony.
Another informative and interesting update video Tony. Waste not want not comes to mind, great recycling. When are the scaffolders in so the roof can go on lol. Many thanks for sharing take care regards Barry. 😁👍
Hello Barry my friend. very true waste not want not. it was drummed into us as kids. now they think recycling is a new thing. especially when we used to get money back on our pop bottles. and free comics of the rag and bone man. ah the good old days. have a great weekend. cheer's Tony.
@@TONYNORTHEASTERN Yes I can remember taking my late father's empty beer bottles back to the pub in the snug and as you said the `pop` bottles back to the corner shop (those were the days). My favourite was on a Saturday morning (early) getting a lift in the bakers lorry preparing the delivery's as we went and in return take a tray of cakes and bread home.
Hi Tony, this is the first chance I've had to look at your latest video. I've been away on holiday - up near Tony North Eastern territory in fact, close to Teesside - and while I was there I bought myself a rake of Gresley teak coaches and some older Thompson coaches and what's the first thing I see when I look at your video? Anyway, the station is coming on beautifully I'm so pleased it is all going to plan for you. Thanks yet again for another great video.
Welcome back Alfie. we have been out and about also. it does makes a change to be doing other things, apart from the railway. but hopefully once things calm down. i will be back weekly. until then its happy holidays. cheer's for now Tony.
Dear Tony, we had some rainy days, so I was pleasantly surprised to see you put up a video! Awesome how you did the wiring slot into the chimney. Great idea! I would grant them gals a fireplace in the ladies, so their buttocks won’t get too cold. Question of course who’s gonna tend to the fireplace. I think Sid soon can’t be found in his station master office, but will be tending the embers in ladies’. Cheerio
Good morning Vincent. interesting comment. who would tend to the fireplace. maybe Percy Porter would volunteer. if not there would be plenty more volunteer's for the job. cheerio for now Tony. warming thought though....
I wish! David, they are the Metcalfe Benches, But i had left them natural but lightly weathered with some brown weathering powder to them a more realistic look. cheer's for commenting my friend. Tony.
I dare say Billy Two Thumbs, will be getting his mate Dave from (Honest Dave'sl Double-Glazing), to pop round to assist Mr Eastern in putting the windows in. Meanwhile, every Saturday during the summer months, Sid will be able to rent out part of his new office to Black Friday at ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-fNkBt-tjsPk.html, who will be making Mini Japanese Ice Creams.
