I will never forget being 17 or 18 and hearing them perform this song at Ozzfest. It was like the rest of the world went on pause and just me jaw dropped falling in love with a band. Top 5 musical moments of my life.
@@camy6846 I know, I always end up going back to listening to them. My favorite song is " Love you to death " always has been. Man, theres something about that song ..lol
@@amber4245 true , i swear there is somthing about this song , idnt know how they could create this melody and this vocal , this song really isnt from our world
let me tell you this so you'd keep in mind, out of the relationship issues hes dealt with, this song, by far, speaks for him, he cries out his emotions through the lyrics of the song
Christ the mixing on this is flawless, you can hear every instrument so clearly, every intricacy and it all comes together so perfectly. A job very well done, cheers for the upload!
The atmosphere that Josh and Kenny create with their instruments is just so haunting. Peter was integral to Typo’s existence but so were Josh and Kenny. They caught lighting in a bottle with these three, I’ll tell you what. I wish Peter was still alive though. I can’t even begin to imagine Typo’s sound after Dead Again (which is my favorite album) or the lyrics. Johnny actually played the drums on that final record and God only knows what kind of music he would have created with this trio of doom and gloom. Typo is hands down my favorite band of all time. They were a sort of guilty pleasure in HS, as if there was anything to be ashamed of but I regretfully only listened to Everything Dies and Black No. 1. I didn’t actually get into them until about three years ago and I listen to them literally every day now. RIP Green Man 🪦🪦🪦
Josh’s keys were always so good, band would not have been the same without them. What a great band in general, Pete an awesome singer/bassist/songwriter, josh a great producer and keys, Johnny a great drummer and Kenny and awesome guitarist/singer and songwriter. Sad we will never hear new TON or see them perform again. Legends
@@puppetmaster8551 It's wild to me that he's just doing regular dude things now, without the hair. He looks totally different. I'd love to msg him , but I am too chicken! V I met them back in '03. I will cherish that moment FOREVER. 💚🖤
I was something like nine or ten years old when I got the chance to meet the band backstage at a local festival. I was so freaking scared 'cause I thought their sound and look was so gloomy and scary, but it turned out that even that huge man with a voice of a boogeyman happened to be one of the nicest people I got a chance to meet that night. We didn't have a common language but still Peter tried to understand what I tried to stutter to him with my broken little kid English and the best part was when he was showing their equipment. Hopefully you are doing well wherever you are Pete. I'm sure we'll meet one of these day and I can say a huge thank you for that memorable day and also give my biggest thank you's for this amazing song that has been playing on the soundtrack of my life ever since that day.
2:29 and 3:27 has a bass improv that Pete rarely has ever used in this song. If I can recall correctly, that bass riff has only been used in 2 live videos I have seen for this song (I have practically seen every single live of this song). It’s a beautiful rendition that always goes unnoticed. Took me a bit but I finally got it down on my bass after listening to it over a dozen times.
I love this live version! It doesn’t feel as rushed and up tempo as some other live versions out there. Yet it does differ from the studio version to give fans a good contrast to their musical talent. And his vocals are always amazing!!
Loving this higher tempo live version of Love You to Death!! The way Peter sings it here is very captivating... A wondrously infectious performance overall... The keys are so atmospheric..
This was recorded during the October Rust tour you can see the backdrop behind them the leaves or snow falls during the set I saw em twice for that tour this wasn't 1999/2000 that year was world coming down tour. This is from the October Rust tour
Thank you. I'm done. hahahaha But seriously, thank you for editing the clip. I would like to know if we can get more type o negative or one of the clips of the HIM
This material is great, and this is the best vid i could find in YT because of the sound quality!!! Do you have the whole presentation they did in overdrive? 😮
...SONG OF THE DAY!!! 🤘🏿ULTRAMEGAROLOTA🤘🏿27/01/2023
