In this, we are discussing the different types of drawing in Building Projects.
There are four main types of drawing in Building Project :
1. Architectural Drawing
2. Structural Drawing
3. MEP Drawing
4. Finishing Drawing
Architectural Drawing: There are 4 main important drawings included in Architectural drawing i.e
site plan: Its geographical orientation and topographical representation of the project.
working plan: its shows the position of the door, windows, interior dimensions, etc,
Sectional plans: it shows the height of the wall, the full dimensions of door windows, floor to floor level height
Elevation plan: it shows the appearance of a building project from all four directions north elevation view, south elevation view, west elevation view, and east elevation view

Structural Drawing: #StructuralDrawing is also known as RCC drawings. Different RCC members in the building project are having their individual structural drawings.
in the structural drawing, all the detailed specifications of RCC members will be provided i.e reinforcement details, cross-sectional details. Typical cross-section of RCC members etc.
there are different types of structural drawing for different RCC members in building projects such as
1. Footing / Foundation structural drawing
2. Column structural drawing
3. Beam structural drawing
4. slab structural drawing
5. Staircase structural drawing
6. RCC wall/shear wall/lift wall structural drawing
With the help of structural drawing, an estimation engineer or quantity surveyor is able to do Bar Bending Schedule, calculation of concrete quantity, shuttering area, etc.
MEP drawings :
In building projects, there is the involvement of mechanical drawings with respect to ac ducting fitting pipes, fire fighting installation drawing. Electrical drawings with respect to electrical works such as wiring, switch, board panel, etc. Plumbing Drawings with respect to sanitary works like kitchen, bathroom, washroom pipe installation for different water household works.
Finishing Drawings: this drawing is related to finishing works required in building projects like
marble/ tiles work, Painting works, false ceiling works, etc.
