It's a good thing most folks who call Madrid home go on vacation for the month of August. Wherever World Youth Day is held, for one week the host city's transportation system is dominated by pilgrims from all over the world. To pass the time while they wait, they chant, sing, wave, and strike up conversations with random pilgrims from other countries. It's a medley of languages, and national, folk and religious tunes.
