So, this is what a luxury keyboard sounds like. The blue reminds me of Data General's products.

Thanks! The blue/grey color scheme was inspired by Space Cadet keyboards. I hope to make more color variants in the future. I am open to making custom color variations based on customers' requests.

How do these fare against matias click and skcm white?

Heavier than Matiases and they also sound less hollow in my opinion. Also, they have a longer travel than the Matiases. I have not had any SKCM whites so far, so I cannot tell.

@@keymacs Apparently these have 4.5mm travel according to deskthority...does that feel right? Somehow I don't believe that since very few switches go beyond 4mm (in fact, most switches made after the DIN standard seem to be around 3-3.5mm with Cherry being among the "longer travel" ones)

@@diodebridge They go lower indeed, I have not made any measurements but when I mount a keycap on Matiases and these switches side-by-side, the keycap on Tai-Haos is a bit higher, can be those 0.5mm, and goes as down as the Matias switch. So in my experience the travel is indeed deeper. It terms of the (depth of the) travel, it is almost like a microswitch SD switch, especially if the clicker is removed.

Wow, thanks for the speedy response! I'm thinking about trying a tai-hao OEM board (shockingly still being sold) as I'm personally a big fan of long travel switches & want to get a cheap alps-style board to dip my toes into Alps in general Matias clicky switches seem to be a lot more durable than most other alps-style switches though...possibly due to the gold plated contact leaf. I've heard that the linear & tactile variants are turbo-unreliable due to too much lube.

@@diodebridge I personally had never any issues with the linears or the tactile Matiases (the overlubed switches seem to be a matter of the past). But you cannot go wrong if you just open them and relube the switches. I personally like the tactile leaf with undamped slider (from the clicky switches). They are super nice after proper lubing, perhaps not as good as NOS orange alps but they are available on the market and are relatively cheap. The Tai-Haos are a different beast, both interesting in my opinion.
