Your Channel have been INVALUABLE to me as a nid player. With a v busy life you help steer me in the right direction and keep me informed and creative with all things nid. THANK YOU
Honestly it's not that simple, there has been a big discussion about the interaction between overwatch and big guns and some say as You do that it's a shooting phase rule and does not apply to out of phase but there have been arguments that the rule is not one requiring a trigger and should not be treated as one that does trigger and rather as an innate ability like with pistols and therefore could be used to overwatch so until GW finally notices their wording is confusing on this and clarifies it's actually up to TO's and players to decide how to rule it
@@vankakt I don't see how RAW you can use it at any point outside of your shooting phase (It's quite literally the first line of the ability). IF we assumed this could be done out of phase, that would also apply to nigh on every other ability that only applies in your shooting phase. We can discuss RAI all day long, but for something that's so clearly written one way right now, I can't see how this would be commonly (and likely incorrectly) ruled to be useable on something like Overwatch. It would make sending vehicles into units that can't feasibly hurt them have a trade-off as well, so it would make sense balancewise.
This was two weeks ago, so you probably already caught this, but you do not NEED to make a surge move with insurmountable odds when you lose a model from an unending swarm unit. "Each such unit can make a surge move" page 68.
If I'm not mistaken you guys are resolving OverWatch wrong. When you OverWatch a charging unit you can only do so when they make a charge move so they need to actually succeed the charge so that needs to be rolled before they can be overwatched against. If the unit fails to charge then they can't be overwatched.
Just to make you aware you cant use draigos plus 3 to charge when hes gone up in the air using the grey knight teleporty thing. His rule is specifically for comming in as a reinforcement which they are not doing using the grey knight detatchment ability. He litteraly has to be in reserves from the begining in order to do so...which is dumb...but there you go.
At about 1:29:00 ish - you are slightly incorrect in the rules - killing the bodyguard squad does count as a separate kill! So killing the terminators and drago would have counted as 2 units killed!
There's a bit of a debate on that. If all the Terminators die Drago would revert to being a single unit yes, but when the Termis died they were one unit (of which Drago is still left). So there's arguments both ways of whether it counts as 1 or 2 kills.
Nope he is right. The rules state: if the bodyguard unit of a leading model is destroyed, the leading model is it's own seperate unit. So yes, you can score 2 unit kills like that
A few things wrong in this battle report. Endless multitude CAN surge if they're not battleshocked, they're not forced to. That stratagem you referred to is you can reroll the surge roll and move to the closest objective instead. Not 6" anywhere. 59:45 you rolled 9 dice for the Emissary talons instead of 6. Big guns doesn't tire doesn't work for overwatch. Overall, despite being a Nids player, i felt bad for Conner. Give grey knights anti vehicle anti monster 4+ on his big guns. Sisters and grey knights are bad against high Toughness threats
i am at the 1hr 16min mark, i normally love the work u put in, but this one was a hard one to listen , this guy is so down and sounds so misable, with wow awesome when u kill his troops.
What's the reasoning behind the frontal-camera? Battle reports should be top-down camera at least 90% of the time, easy to follow what's happening. You can have your cute little mugs in the tiny window instead. And please include the army lists in the description of the video, don't want to download files just to see them.
@40:48 You can't use big guns never tire to overwatch. Bug guns never tire only applies in "in their controlling player’s Shooting phase" and overwatch does not occur in that phase.
7:18 - 7:40 I felt that. My Hive Fleet is very expansive but these fleets require you to double and moreso triple up on a single type of unit to be efficient.....I felt it.
Really good video guys. Good to see things in action. I would say though that the dreadknight had to rotate his base a full 90 degrees to fit through the gap and engage the Norn. So the 8 probably wouldn't have been enough movement.
Why did both lictor and neurolictor go? Wouldn't the ones charging get fight first too, so u get 1 of either lictor or neurolictor then 1 of charging units, then other lictor/neuro? around 56 min mark
No Purgation Squads with Incinerators for indirect torrent fire! Heresy I say :D. Fun list otherwise. I think Crowe is a really cool choice now. I'd probably also have run a Brotherhood Champion at least. They are brutal for killing characters and give Strike Squads fight first.
... is overcosted and only semi-viable in Synaptic Nexus detachment. Especially after the changes to Devastating Wounds and the random nerf to Tyranids free stratagems. I'm so disappointed by it. It should be more than wildy mediocre. But of course it can shine in casual play.
