Gullible leon also didn't think "wait a minute how could some girl I just recently met like 3 hours ago love me so quickly" but nope. She loves me so she HAS to be trusted , right?
Stephen Starr90 Lol I can tell you as a 14 year old playing this back in the day it was shit scary - especially as he only came in, in the second scenario so you weren’t expecting it. But yes I agree it’s just nothing now compared to RE2 remake.
@@Dessan01 I thought he was a letdown in the remake I felt falling through the roof was scarier we already knew he could move a chopper but knowing his weight made it worse in the original. And since there's no buildup to him in the remake I got to it I was like "oh great this douche is back. I killed him on my 1st playthrough just so I could solve more puzzles with him being distant. In the original at least we got rewarded but in the remake i was like "wish I'd known that woulda been a waste of ammo!" 😑
@@diegorodrigues8770 No, the other tyrants are for delta force in the Incineration Disposal Plant P-12A (Resident Evil 3) you see the boodies of the tyrants and soldiers (aftermatch) when you are fighting nemesis for the last time.
@@Carnicemenatan oh, thanks for the correction, i don't remember the game very well, as i was just a scared kid 6~8 years old kid seeing his brother play lol (and because i didn't know english at that time because i live in brazil, i just do some spelling errors now)
What I loved about Mr. X first appearance in the original is how after Leon defeats him in the hallway and you head back to the other room Mr. X gets up and the tone of it gives you impression that he’s very angry that Leon got the better of him and is now deadset in stalking/killing him
NeoFlyingDragonX yo for real! The first time I played this game I was 4 and as soon as the zombie came at me in the alley I was so scared I turned it off and played spyro lol!
@@SunlightGwyn No timestamp. He just didn't appear in scenario A in the original game. So you play the entire game once with either Leon or Claire, never seeing Mr. X. Then when you play scenario B with the opposite character he appears.
Haha I love it. As a new resident evil fan I have played the remake first but I like the original more. That doesn’t mean I hate the remake, it’s just not as good as the original to me
When I was a kid, I thought Mr. X became Nemesis here at 9:13, he got shot across the same side of the face nemesis had stapled up, and fell in liquid lava which resulted in the messed up skin. But I was wrong as he came out of the tank as a super version of himself
Fun fact I looked up some information and apparently that trenchcoat he wears is to keep him from evolving rapidly but since it was destroyed in the huge tub of molten metal he mutated into the super tyrant.
When they drop him from the sky and he crashes through the roof and he lands feet first and stands perfectly upright without even kneeling on the ground. He is a true B.O.W
because he only showed up in the Path B scenario in the original game. most people at least I know didn't know about RE2 had Two Scenario system and usually start a new game again.
@@Pecora_Nero I have to admit i never actually played the originals through. I'm from 86 so at the time the first game came out i was 10 and my parents were quite strict as it came to games like that. So what happened was, i kept sitting there with my older Brother and watched him play the original 3 games. Didn't see all of the games though, but i knew what the whole story was about. So when the remake of the first game came out in 2002 i was 16. Played some of that game. But here goes..that game just scared me so damm much. Those fine graphics..the Sounds..the music...o.O nope..couldn't play that game. The first game of Resident Evil i actually played from beginning to the end was Resident Evil 4 on my ps2. And i love that game. I played it on every difficulty. Unlocked every secret. And afterwards i got myself to play the remake of the first. And now the remake of part 2. Preordered the third game too :)
If you have played the Darkside chronicles game it’s revealed that Mr. X can actually run and he can jump extremely high. Not only that but he sometimes snarls and growls like an angry beast.
Simpler visuals leave a lot to imagination. People fill the gaps and it may feel a lot more terrifying because everyone imagines something that scares them the most.
GoodOleUltraviolence I forgot to mention this, but it’s a great point. In the RE2 remake I’m scared by what I see, but what I see is exactly what it is. When I can’t really see the details, I’m a lot more scared.
@@pablopelaez3503 i disagree. I played original R.E. 2. I was disappointed how easy and not scary it is. While playing remake my pants were full all the time
@@UrPPhard It was really opposite for me! The only thing I found scary in remake is MR X, and that was becouse he could follow me almost anywhere, was alot faster and dangerous, especially on Hardcore, and was unstoppable, so he was the only scary thing in remake... for me.
So that's how Tyrant came in police department. After putting out the fire from fallen helicopter, the Umbrella helicopter deployed the container T-00. They released one Tyrant ( Mr. X). Tyrant left the fallen helicopter and encountered Leon.
Just beat 2nd play through on PS4, this is incredible on ps1, i really don’t remember two or 3 on ps1 just re1 which i also have and beat on PS4!!! Love these games
5:53 the first time i played re2 when i was 12 i laughed so hard at this part till i remembered that mr x was right around the corner.. I wished capcom kept this in the remake
Despite what the developers say, I still believe more than 1 Mr. X stalks you in both the original and remake of RE2. Hell, the very first cutscene in this video convinced me there was more than one.
Das Remake von Resident Evil 2, gefällt mir überhaupt nicht, das einzige was die entwickler echt gut hinbekommen haben ist, Claire, die wirklich hübsch ist.
@@mattsantos5863 I didn't know that, obviously i'm hoping that this new Nemesis is going to be different. Also, i haven't meet Mr. X in my Resident Evil 2 Remake and i don't how it works but i do know it will be very scary
Don't know if anyone else will see this but I can't be the only one that thinks having a Fix camera adds to the horror. And something I childish thought should be in the remake.
@@SlugKingsly Could be. I'm making a custom action figure of him at the moment. I'm probably gonna go with the tubes idea and use some guitar string. May look interesting.
This is a best horror game because you never heard them say any harsh words like what they say in the remake and later games right now. The best game for me until now!
I never saw much benefit to making the super magnum. I did not like the delay between shots. The regular magnum did just fine, if not better, because of faster firing speeds in my opinion. I did however upgrade to the super shotgun because I did see more power in that upgrade.
My very first resident evil game was the remake of resident evil two. However after playing the original I got to say I like it even more despite its flaws because there was so much more and had more of the good old resident evil atmosphere. I also remember when I encountered Mr. X. I was just slowly heading down the hallway on the second floor and when I turned around that corner, oh man the suspenseful music just blasted as I see the 8 foot tall, dark green trench coat wearing behemoth lumbering towards me. Sure he doesn’t follow you as much in the original as he does in the remake but still there’s something about his presence that’s scarier than the one in the remake. Also if you have played Darkside Chronicles you will see that classic Mr. X can actually run and he can jump super super high.
