There's some truth to that, but it's a different scale of things when the accusation is sexual assault by the actual political figure in question versus it being a campaign aid propositioning an underling and the information somehow not getting to the political figure in question. Very different. Plus, it may be true true that we should use more skepticism when it comes to accusation and politics and therefore I don't actually blame Republicans for appointing Kavanaugh when he may have assaulted someone, there's a shade of doubt there allright, I blame them for appointing him after he *clearly* lied under oath when asked specific questions. That's something a judge, let alone a Justice, should definitely not do.

NO -if you have 1000s of people in an org harrassment is going to happen, men have been getting away with it for too long. - I am sure something like that goes on in EVERY larger campaign - they attract also wanna be politicians / alphas who want to rise through the ranks (especially with the help of a campaign of a non-progressive that plays nice with party establishment - D or R it does not matter - and Big Donors. Working for the campaign of an influental politician could be the start of such a career). So they already have ideas about their self-importance and that they deserve to have a distinguished political career and are going to EXERCISE power over others - which can include taking liberties. Sexual harrassment is not only about sex - it is often an extra tool to "show a woman her place" - a tool which they do not have against other males. A perfide way to diminish a woman. Either to neutralize her as competition or as stroke for the male ego. I assume it was low level harrassment - fire the guy and be done with it. Women NOW report it more often - and the New York Times CHOSE to put a spotlight on it NOW.

If Sanders runs it is highly likely they (Dems and Republicans, and special interests) would _infiltrate his campaign._ The guy that inappropriately accessed data of the DNC was also ! someone they hired with help of the Democratic party. Either the DNC was incompetent - or they were waiting for a "transgression" to happen - for that the data had to be sometimes open to the Sanders campaign. ... someone would eventually slip up .... A British - likely an intelligence asset - had been working for the Sanders campaign ! He is now HIRED BY a neocon, British ! government funded organization (Jimmy Dore reported on it). The guy allegedly had never an interest in British politics, saved up to do a longer tour in the U.S., landed in Iowa ( yes that is where the tourists go) and all of a sudden found out he wanted to start a ground game for Sanders in Iowa while being on an extended holiday. and now he ends up being hired by an org that a progressive (one that sacrifices a lot for a campaign - in a foreign country no less) would not touch with a 10 foot pole. (His claims whether he was or was not even interested in British politics are inconsistent as well - if he wants to get excited about a progressive he would have plenty of opportunity to serve in his home country). Well - NOW Sanders and his people alrady have a network of people to jumpstart a groundgame and would not hire in the beginning with the help of the DNC. AND they are warned that they have to be extra careful to counteract such actions - anything that could be weoponized against them - whether events like harrassment /or data breeches just occur or whether they are committed by plants to have a pretext to leak to the media.
