*I hope you all enjoy part 1 of My Changeling Campaign for Total War: Warhammer 3! I'll be releasing this series EVERY Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday going forward! Thanks to CA for the Early Access to the Shadows of Change DLC!*
While looking at the Changling's history, I recalled the trailer depicting a battle between Slaanesh and Nurgle's forces and it provides more context for the battle in the trailer: the Changeling stole apples from Slaanesh and dumped them in Nurgle's garden. When Slaanesh discovered the theft, he believed Nurgle to be the thief while Nurgle thought Slaanesh planted them as a pretext for invasion, leading the two gods to come to blows.
Tzeentch is my favorite chaos god by far. And the changling is extra fun since he’s been known to enter the other chaos god’s domains without having issue. Just a little lord fact, but the changling went into Slannesh’s palace and stole the silver apples of Slannesh before taking them into Nurgle’s garden and planting them, causing nurgle and slannesh to go to war since Slannesh blamed nurgle for stealing them and nurgle said Slannesh planted them for an excuse to go to war. There was no reason, thr changling just felt like doing it that day
32:23 imagine you’re running away in a battle and you look back and see a bird dragon and some dude fly into the air, portal into the ground and out again 💀💀
Man, I gotta feel bad for the older armies and factions. So much stuff is added over time that is both stupidly powerful compared to the Total Warhammer 1 releases and always aimed to just destroy those factions right off the bat. I definitely feel it in the Mortal Empires campaign. Where in Total Warhammer 1 before DLC was added Karl Franz was actually pretty breezy to unite Reikland, expand into Marienburg, start confederating, etc. By even the end of Total Warhammer 1 I felt the struggle settling in for the Empire as there suddenly was a lot of new things aimed right at their head and some balance changes that hosed them. By Total Warhammer 2 it went from breezy and easy into something with some tight spots. And now in Total Warhammer 3? I don't even see the Empire getting started much less struggling, it's just death on arrival barring a good player on the helm.
I think “Tzim the Enchanter” would be cool to fit with the Tzeentch flavour. Also, I’d just like to mention that I think CA should take a flying leap for their shitty business practices.
In my opinion, it's better to leave the Sorcerers as Sorcerers, though. The Daemon Princes have a weird hybrid spell selection split between the two lores.
I’m glad you’re coming around to Tzeentch. I was always a little surprised that you weren’t a fan of Kairos because in a lot of campaigns you love absolutely nuking enemy armies with spells and that’s what Tzeentch is all about
@@IsaiahDavis-i6l in that case I'd guess that the Champions DLC probably fixed Tzeentch a lot for him since that really gave them a firm frontline that they were previously lacking.
@@IsaiahDavis-i6lI dunno I really enjoy archer focused or archer heavy factions I think it was more the lack of solid infantry and just the craziness of Tzeentch initially I didn’t know what to make of it all haha. But now I’m sold!
You got the big burst of favour from the sea battle. You always get the bonus reward, not just the post battle loot. Also, when you got the cult spread to castle Alexandrov, it did give you a notification but you just clicked it away without paying attention 😄
I wish they made a Total War Stories™ series where it was all a bunch of prologue like narrative driven campaigns on small maps. They could have historical stories and also fantastical stories.
Since you probably won’t play a Vilitch the Curseling campaign I hope you can at least name a unit the Vilitch People in honor of this champion of Tzeentch.
I know I'm late, but even if you fail to get a minor scheme, like destroy the jade court, you will still have it completed, because when I play immortal empires with changeling, when I go over to the cathay theater, destroy defenders of the great plan is one of the minor schemes and when I get over to grand cathay they are destroyed by some other faction but it's always marked as completed in minor schemes for me and you get the reward
edit to this, while if you don't destroy a faction you get the reward for that scheme, however there are the form schemes like get ironhands form, if he is defeated by someone other than the changeling, even if it is a second army your fielding, you won't be able to complete that scheme, i made this mistake with trying to get orions form and missed out on getting wood elves attrition immunity.
Maybe consider turning off the half-speed prior to spell placement? It prevents the unit from saying a voice line before casting. Would really love to hear the Changeling's sassy voice lines when burning shit.
Looking fun so far. I was very much hoping for the greatest trickster to be a LL and here he is. As the plan requires. "Do you remember the time I locked Khorne out of his throne room...?" - I would have loved to see that. I wonder what other tales of pranks he has for us.
Based on how the grand scheme sounds, I think yhe changeling is trying to screw over tzeentch, and I love me a character that actively plans against their god.
Name suggestions: Flamers - you kill em we grill em, the grill masters, the red hot japes Furries - Beaky Boys, birds of prey, the murder of crows, parliament of owls, the flappy birds, the winds of change, Blue horrors - Bluey, the blue raspberries, the blueberries, the blue-pers, Mr blue sky, the blue Mondays, the one eyed wonders Chariot - Tim's magic frisbee,
So the changeling loses his barrier if he becomes someone that doesnt have barrier, he lost a ton a health because of that in the second fight, so i think at the start its just better to stay as changeling until you get the skills from the lord and heroes you can become
I think itd be pretty cool (with an obvious very pricey cost) to be able to shapeshift you and your entire army into a different faction and attack someone else to cause a war between the two factions.
I would save your grimoires for those schemes where you need to raise corruption up to 75. If you want to do that quickly, then I assume you'll need a few.
Looks like a fun campaign! There is a notification when Cult spread. It had spread the turn before you noticed. You just dismissed the notification without looking like we all do when we want to get to our plans. :) For the money, you got it as reward for defeating the Leviathan.(6000 gold)
I'm so glad you're finally doing a Tzeentch Playthrough and with one of the most interesting characters in the setting. Tzeentch is by far my favourite Chaos God in the setting, just the sheer wackiness of some of his units and of course the really cute Lords of Change
would be fun if you could e.g. change into Karl Franz and help an another reikland army or reiklands ally in a battle bcz you're basically seen as an ally

Shadows of Silence #1 (Special thanks to Kommando and Lionheart for letting me use them as characters in this story. I hope you enjoy it) While The Changeling prepares to launch his assault on Norden, Asaris Changeweaver (a-sair-iss) is halting her studies in the Impossible Fortress as The Librarian approaches. The young human maiden stands up from her hair and book, and upon hearing her assignment is left with nothing but questions. As soon as The Librarian finishes issuing Asaris her new assignment, she asks, "Why am I being sent to shadow The Changeling? He and I are very different to say the least and there is little he can perhaps teach me. All he knows is chaos and destruction, turning change into something that others despise even when it is necessary. Though change is seldom easy or without complications, I believe that it in fact can be a force for good if people like The Changeling wouldn't ruin the opportunity for others." "You are not shadowing him like that," The Librarian responds. "You are to keep watch of him from a distance and pay close attention to what goes on around him. Members of his cult have reported feeling a sense of unease as they rally around him. 30 have come forward to report this feeling of unease, and all 30 have given a different description of what their unease feels like and where they were when they felt it. It is believed that it is nothing more than the result of how the The Empire gathers its forces to do battle with The Changeling. It is a simple task, fit for someone of your low rank and experience. Seek out those who feel this unease and follow the trail to find the source, surely you can manage this." Asaris takes her raven black cloak from her chair and pulls its hood over her brown hair, "I expect an apology for your tone of voice and condescending attitude when I return." In swift fashion, Asaris arrives in the vicinity of Norden just as the battle gets under way and sets herself to work. Quickly she finds that something is amiss when she runs into Marauders of Tzeentch heading to join The Changeling's forces. Following their directions she finds where they felt uneasy and Asaris beings to study the area. "There is something wrong here and though it should be nothing more than the scouts of The Empire at worst, it isn't." She takes a handful of loose earth and holds it, "What could this be that I can feel it in the earth?" Setting the earth down, Asaris steps aside and investigates a nearby fresh flowing stream. She takes a drink to test a hunch, "I can taste it in the water as well." Standing up from the stream, Asaris sniffs the air, "I can even smell it in the air. Something is afoot and yet it moves unseen with a currently indescribable feeling being the only trace of it that I can find." With little to go on, Asaris follows the one thing that she has, the shadow of this unease, and investigates every location and every report to find a lead. Yet she comes up with nothing tangible despite all her investigating. Then as The Changeling sets sail for a sea corpse, a new report emerges from Norsca that matches those she is investigating so Asaris rushes north to investigate. Expecting more strange unease, Asaris arrives instead to find the norscan who produced the report and his forces engaged in battle with an unknown army. "We don't know where this army came from, all we know is that we felt uneasy as if something was looming over us as recently as two days ago," the norscan captain explains as his soldiers do battle against the unknown foe. "We had our soldiers ready in case something happened, and it appears that we made the right choice. Yet we don't know who this is, why they are attacking us, or where they came from." The captain and Asaris stop as they hear a noise and spot the end of a breath spell that doesn't quite match anything on record. "That spell just did a number on my soldiers. Can you summon reinforcements to aid us in this battle?" Asaris shakes her head, "I do not have that level of magic nor do I have the authority to do that. I am sorry but you're on your own with this fight, but I can help by trying to figure out who this is that we're dealing with." From under her cloak, Asaris pulls out a spotting scope and analyzes the battlefield. As she begins looking at the fighting, Asaris notices how the norscan weapons bounce off harmlessly against their foes and she quickly realizes that their enemy has barriers. She shifts he view, and spots a lone figure standing a ways back from the fighting. As she looks at this figure who Asaris determines is a woman, Asaris suddenly feels easy and then the woman turns her head. Her red eyes stop as if to meet Asaris' own eyes and their gaze pierces right through her as Asaris feels a sudden bolt of personal hatred coming from this woman and directed directly at her. The norscan line starts to crumble, and with this Asaris flees the scene as fast as possible. "I think I just found what is causing the unease, and I think that this is only a preview of what is to come." As the norscan line crumbles before her forces, the woman that Asaris spotted looks to her left as a messenger approaches her. He asks what he can do for her and she says nothing. The messenger instead feels as if the message is inscribed in his mind by an unseen pen and ink with incredible penmanship. With the message in his head, the messenger asks with some fear based uncertainty, "Are you sure that you want to get them involved in this mam?" She nods, "Understood mam. I will deliver the message at once." The messenger thusly departs, and as the norscan forces retreat the woman stands in silence while she thinks about Asaris. Her hatred and anger focused solely on the cloaked maiden.
Names for The Burning Chariot: The Ring of Fire, Burning Skies, Disk-o Inferno, Tzeentchian Disco Ball, and Tzeentch's Dance Floor. Names for Chaos Furries: Flock of Change, Tzeentch's Gargoyles, and Tzeentch's Messengers.
Please don t buy it guys they try to test how much Money they can get for nearly no content please wait until it cost just 15 or even lesser. Because when not we pay in the future all the time for 9 new units 25 €/$ for an ne factiom thats oke chaos darf i pay gladly the price but that is just shitty behaviour with no respect for the Community. And even declarin bugfixes as new content where you have to change one line of code.
You know the major issue with the price? Is we are getting even less per dlc, the opening cinematic was God awful, was the laziest thing they could have done. Hey at least the advisor has a slight hint of a face.
I really love Nurgle...but umm they need some help lol. im really hoping CA learns there lesson and drops the dlc prices or heavy upgrades the content for $25
Tell me, why did that announcer sound like the announcer in lord of wings? Lol you just need that background music like listen to it one more time and then go listen to the intro Lord of the rings lol .
Lots of new mechanics to learn and show off. Better to go through them and explain them once properly at the start then bumble through them constantly ;)
