First things first, how was that guy lucky enough to have 4 battleships on the enemy team?

When the opposing DD completely ignores a surfaced submarine it's pretty easy to get 6 kills. BBs and CVs have no defense against submarines, no ability to even attempt a retaliation.

Yo those subs are labeled like CVs in team composition panels what. I know they're new so it'll probably be fixed sooner or later but it's a bit funny.

The super realistic simulations where you sit in front of your pc setting minor things up, navigating gauges, menus, views and waiting 30 mins just to arrive to a certain destination and mabye encounter a enemy, not only in submarine games but in any war vehicle game gives me more amusement, adrenalin and satisfaction than in their arcady counterparts or any high/fast action game, not saying they are bad.

Can’t wait to have new perks, new modifications, goals and missions for these, also I what this on week scenarios.

By the 12 minute mark, there are no longer opponents that can reasonably threaten you. Submarines are the worst crap to be added to the game.

More human (surface ship) players in this game than I am used to seeing. That is a good thing - Wargaming needs the data. It is (since the carrier rework) a fantasy world, and making "realism" arguments makes no sense. That being said: I am not a fan of the torpedo "citadel" hits. Damage is way disproportionate. I am not a fan of fantasy submarines (that look somewhat like WW2 submarines) being able to go faster under water than equal tier battleships. OK, your prime-time W-A-S-D gamer (the target audience) will not sit still for 8-9 kt underwater speed, but battleships should be able to run if they have no destroyer cover.

Best way to add Submarines is the Creating a new Battle type that Specialy designed for Submarines,Destroyers and Light Cruisers for Example They create Convoy Protection Submarine players will be the Wolfpack and Light cruisers and Destroyers can be the Protector of the Convoys Game will won for Submarines when they Sink a Specific number of Merchant Ships and and game will be won for Dd-Cls when they Sink all of subs. İsnt be Nice? Launching Wolfpacks as Submarines and sinking Submarines as Ships who Designed for they can add Corvettes and Supply Carriers like uss Bouge and hms Audacity. This is How i think about.

Love all the haters out there who hate the subs, I think its a new and refreshing part of the game and if you dont like it cry some where else as subs will recive their own game mode you dont even need to play against them.

I can accept the idea of homing torpedoes, but how in the Hell can you justify _ignoring_ a ship's torpedo protection?? That's stupid and gimmicky even by WOWS standards.

Anyone else think that they should limit the amount of torpedoes a sub can carry instead of just an unlimited amount? This way they won't be able to just spam torpedoes? Also make the homing torpedoes a premium consumable? Just spit balling here.

Speed actually does piss me off. When the German line of BBs came out I asked a question on the forum why they couldn't give a speed boost to the US battleships. After all, they were pushing the German BBs up over 23 with Biden at 25 kts. Why wouldn't they push the US BBs up a bit. Was told they wanted to keep it realistic and the Germans could have refitted their BBs with better engines. This sub never had a speed over 20kts, it was only done to appease the sub players so they wouldn't whine about how slow subs are when they are going max 17 kts on the surface.

Best thing of playing subs is forcing spammer to out of their island and smoke cover with pings

U69 hun…well all I have to say is that it was some nice gameplay

Honestly I have to agree with most people .. Playing subs is NOT fun. I just had a game where I got 8 torp hits in a U-69 including sinking one BB and one enemy sub (that was already damaged). And honestly the entire experience felt more like WORK than a game. Oh I had to pin the BB once then ping again then fire the torps. And of course had to go up a bit recharge a bit then back down after several rounds of pings and torps. But the whole sequence was ping ping fire ping ping fire. And since you are underwater all you get are silohettes of things even rocks so it's a boring view, you have no real sense of the direction ships are going or their speed since you can't see the smoke (obviously). Also I will say whomever did this video was using something to aid them. The Pings are supposed to hit a small area to be effective and he was hitting again and again and again with complete accuracy. Sorry the game does not work that way for most players. His display clearly shows he has a mod of some sort active and that is aiding his aim in some manner so his pings connect while most players will find themselves missing over and over and over. I also like how his charge was INCREASING while under water which again is a major flaw in the subs as charge on the batteries go DOWN (or they should) .. talk about a magical mystery sub here.

So many people we whining about this gamemode and how it’ll be game breaking. No, subs are pretty damn easy to kill. DD players just need to learn to actually fill the role of destroyers instead of running out torping everything in sight and getting killed.
