3rd Batt here. I hope everyone realizes we tell mostly the cool stories lol. Nobody wants to hear about being a private and picking up cigarette butts and mowing grass for screwing up on the weekend lol

Love you guys. Washington (Ft.Lewis) was my first Unit, and I remember I was a Private 240 gunner at a machine gun range and 2nd Bat was there doing their thing. You guys brought me over and let me shoot the 48. Gave me your last belt of ammo and just let me dump. One of the best days ever.🖤🏴‍☠️🇺🇸

I really enjoy listening to the guys. I did my 6 in 3rd bat. There just isn’t anyone to talk to that can relate to the battalion life . Even reg leg infantry guys don’t get it. The standards at battalion are just that and you will meet or more like exceed them . I didn’t know anything other than battalion. . Finished up at pathfinder unit at Campbell. Way diff. Lol layed back

The average time in WW2 was 6 months, average time in Iraq and Afghanistan was 45 months.

6 months for what? A deployment I don't think so I'm sure a lot of personal was 6 months and mainly pogs and non combatants but not enough to make a average cause if that was the case there weren't have been so many on the spot replacements they would rather deploy a whole other unit that has trained together airborne troops were there longer than 6 months thats a guaranteed
@simonkyro661

It might be legit since US military personnel presence grew exponentially -> might cause the average deployment length down to 6 months
@Antonioportertv

Rangers deploy for 4 months only. Sure it feels longer since it's nonstop ops
