I did RIP, not rasp. As a fireteam leader, I would rather raise rangers to our SOPs, RIP just sucked, it was hell, Accordingto the words of Stanley McChrystal, you cannot mass produce spec ops forces.. Kids coming out of rasp thinking they are badasses is not getting them ready for war.

those times getting ruthlessly smoked transformed me and changed the entire direction of my life and having that experience is seriously so priceless. never was a ranger but i was with 82nd combat aviation brigade. Never did anything like you guys though, respect.
The Ranger Creed is the best creed ive ever read of all the branches. Rangers to me is the infantry standard. If you’re going to join the military as infantry you should get in ranger
Love ranger planning on enlisting and becoming one. I’m 17 right now in 11th grade. Training everyday to hope I will be ready when I turn 18. P.S I think MW2 is based on the 75th Rangers. Not 100% sure tho.
We had a E6 that we called Sgt Rock that sounded just like Sgt Major Merritt! Sgt Rock was by the book with a side of fuck-it! He gave a heads up about PNOC before I went and thanks to him I killed it. I took his advice in Jungle in Panama and SERE. SERE was by far the realest shit I went through!#RLTW!🇺🇸🇺🇸🤼♂️🥋
It all depends on who is chosen to be in command of these units at the Battalion level, Regimental level and higher. Would like to have confidence that Professional Soldiers would be in Command but not with BRANDON acting as el presidente!

Nick T I’m 21 and attempting to get back in (I was in the Marines but got medically separated) honestly I think 24 if you take care of yourself is peak time. I went in when I was 19 and the difference between 19 to 21 was more drastic than 15 to 19. Bone density is better, built denser etc. you’ll be fine. Go as an option 4 though not an option 40. Get some time in a unit to build your body better and then go to rasp or sfas imo

Rangers are meant to be the best DA unit in the army aside from Hostage rescue which is the purpose for delta devgru. But Rangers/seals/raiders are direct action focused. Green berets are not intended to be DA focused. We need unconventional warfare force multipliers which is what a green berets should be. Unfortunately they went down rabbit holes completely jealous of Rangers and created the CIF.
The CIF was created for 3rd and 10th group as a stop gap force capable of doing high risk missions in place of tier one units if they were not available, but would hand it off to them if they made it in time. Example have the first of the 10th out of Germany have the US a premier force in Europe closer to the Middle East. Those guys also did the SF mission as a force multiplier but we’re a step up from the regular SF ODA’s
I was just about to comment that. I was in the Army. I told my cousin to join the marines because one thing I noticed about y’all is the Marines don’t stockpile trash, they get rid of it. I think that has a lot to do with the size maintenance. You can only have as many Marines as you can put on a ship. The Army needs its numbers so they allow some shit amongst its ranks.
Is 2/75 still known as 2nd Aryan on Ft. Lewis? My first night there I had to listen to soldier talk about how much he hated having an N-word as BN CSM. Then he talked about holocaust denial. Then a team leader (N.L.) named his fire team 'Aryan Team'. I saw someone reading 'The Turner Diaries'. Then going to see 'friends' in Idaho (Hayden Lakes/Aryan Nations). One solider (M.S.) was going to have 'My Honor is My Loyalty' (SS motto) tattooed on him. Or is it less neo-Nazi these days?
