U.S. Marines secure Philippine Islands alongside Philippine Marines | Balikatan 23 

When i was a boy i 17:13 had filipino friend in america. Years later served with some Filipino men in the us army. After that i was able to work with two filipino doctors. During hospital stays i had some wonderful filipino nurses in deland florida. I met and fell iove with a filipino lady and live in the philippines. Sometimes i wear a veterans us army cap to the store or to town and some people thank me for my service. I thank them for what the philippines has given to me. Bravo philippines. America will.always be with you.

Great respect to all Brave US/Philippine Marines. You're showing us the worst case scenarios that will happen in our islands we called Home. You're showing them Commies by the shores that "It's No Joke!" Grabbing islands, oceans, reefs, sand/soil, someone's livelihoods. This wakes us all up as an ordinary citizens of those islands. Taiwan should just join ASEAN instead of China. Their Indigenous people are related to our Ivatan/Igorot tribes in the north of Luzon. I used to just watch Basco Batanes in some Tourists vlog now I'm watching it in your clear/vivid vlog. Fuga is a Chinese name. I believe we call it different name. Calayan is the closest to them fake sandpit islands of them Chinese. Americans have ready to eat food in their backpacks but Filipinos can't live without rice. The freedom of navigation in the West Philippine Sea benefits all countries in Asia and the whole world. No bully country should grab this territory from the Philippines.

How difficult to be a soldier. They keep on walking and walking miles of distances. One characteristic of soldier must be adventurous. He must love travelling and exploring places even the most remote area.

I have been to FUGA in 1989. Back then It was a privately owned Island with Ranch for Horses and Cows. But there is 1 km. Airstrip. Per the people there the owner want it to be developed as Golf course and sort of Casino / Hotel too. The households there are allowed only in certain areas.Mostly fishermen. By help of religious groups and former resident who had become American citizen also made improvements like artesian well and Barangay hall/ school house, etc. After years, it was offered for development for a mainland Chinese. Fast forward, it should indeed be developed as major Naval base. RP will benefit of it. It will control navigation in the Channel.

Filipinos and Americans have been working together since WWII and before. I wish they never closed Subic Bay! We used to eat lumpia on the ship we had a lot of Filipino Cooks on the ship I like serving with the Filipinos they are good people!

April 21 is the height of the hot-season in many parts of the PH. The next couple weeks are the hottest into early May. I bet a lot of those US Marines were surprised with the heat conditions since it's also humid since it's a maritime climate also. Stock up on water whenever you can.

Our Philippine friends are key allies and sitting ducks without us. This is a great effort for both countries. Thank you to all soldiers for your service.

At 4:05, the carabao on the right, a water buffalo, is a beast of burden widely used in the Phil countryside. It can be used during combat to transport the wounded, logistics, etc., in rugged terrain and muddy and swampy tracks that are pervasive in the tropical Philippines.

When I was stationed in Hawaii my wife was attacked by a homeless guy in the laundry an elderly man from the Philippines beat the brakes off the guy when I got home I went to thank him the old man looked at me and said I know you would do the same thing for my family our ties are deep and will bleed for each other that old man proved it to me that day

As a filipino i can say Filipino crayons taste nice. Both sides would enjoy.
