They need to do alot more than that, the general area on the NY State side of the falls is literally a ghetto that one has to drive through to get to the beautiful Canadian side.... it would be interesting to see more detail about the whole plan... a few bridges upriver is a silly idea....
Very true Christopher. We just went up there last week, and I was shocked to see that there's nothing to beautiful to see on the American side of the falls, so we spent most of our time in Canada, which is was really nice. NY was so ghetto!!!
Theirs nothing special about the candy a besides the one hotel over looking the waterfall’s y’all ruined y’all side by that hideous hotel in bee to both sides they both give the same vibe if that’s the ghetto you were referring
Going to the Falls with my family here in 2 weeks. While planning the trip i was disappointed on how little to nothing there is to do on the USA side. Thanks god i got my kids the passport card as we wont be spending any time on the USA side.
Miguel Boisvert same here, for a week I was taking a summer class at NU, I stayed with my grandparents in NT, just a 10 minute drive and we were there at the falls pretty much. And sometimes we go to the restaurant up there
Ive been to the US side its quite boring and really nothing there. I love the Canadian side and being from Canada I am glad I live on the good side of the Falls.
The American side WAS like a ghost town last time I was there. The hotels are fine. First thing on the agenda every morning was to get to the Canadian side.
The reason the Canadian side is better is they have Buffalo to look at. The view from Buffalo is of a flat dirty old industrial pollutant without any noticeable architecture.
Last time I was there was during a BLIZZARD. Buffalo was shut down! while we had full access to Niagara Falls, NY. and the ENTIRE canadian side. Seems even the GODS like the Canadian side better. Called from Buffalo the Hotel we were staying at and ask them if they were ALSO snowed in. NOT ONE FLAKE! Getting out of Buffalo was the challenge, but for some ODD reason the toll road was open. We were the only freak'n car on the road. Coming into Buffalo even the N.Y. thruway attendant told us to turn around. RIGHT! WE got off the first exit and followed Lake Erie into Buffalo. Eventually we made it into Niagara Falls. NOT ONE FLAKE! Unbelievable.
at 1:06 they dryed up the water and at the bottom are the sharped rocks you see- no wonder no one survives the Niagara Falls bc of those sharp rocks- it kills them instantly.
The vast majorty who go over, including the daredevils, go over the horseshoe falls (Canadian) not the Amercian falls which as you see is has sharp rocks at the bottom.
In the past they donated all the coins people throw over the falls. Over the summer there are about 20 known suicides per year...some estimate it's 20 per month in June, July, August. So I expect to see animal and skeletal remains.
@@ednakelley814 An article says a "couple" were found in 1969. But believe it or not, many of the bodies are recovered. Over 5k in fact since the late 1800s. I believe the ones that weren't found went over different parts of the falls that aren't ever dried up or many floated down river, but never surfaced.
Seems like the power plant now owned by national grid should be able to pay for that considering all the free energy they have bilked the taxpayers and unknowing users for the past 75 yrs or so. Making energy from air and water for free and selling it at ever rising costs!
100% you can always go see the falls. You DEF cannot always go see it dry., and seeing the massive amount of water just be GONE. is quite cool and I hope to see that happen.
Henry N. Nope, lived there for over fifty years and didn't have issues with Canadians running drugs and weapons and coming in illegally. If it becomes a problem, then we deal with it.
