Why USA is so scare of China?

It's rooted in class bigotry, western politicians & media still view the chinese as lower class, dirty poor uneducated "chinaman". The thought of the "chinaman" doing much better than them really infuriates them. That is the root reason for all the anti-China policies & media assaults.

If China retaliates by increasing tariffs on US-made products, the United States would likely bear the brunt of the consequences. This is because goods from China could still reach the US indirectly through other countries like Mexico, Europe, and various Asian nations. However, the reverse journey for US goods to reach other markets, particularly China, would face significant hurdles due to increased costs associated with exporting through alternative channels. Consequently, this situation poses a significant risk, especially considering the potential for immediate spikes in consumer prices within the United States.

but that's what alternative channel is., for China to import thru Mexico, vietnam, Indonesia..., that cost extra. Does not matter what westerners do, China has worked hard for 25 years to gain control of supply chains & will maintain the lead

China don't even need to do that hahaha.

Thank you Biden. You have help the Chinese strive even harder technologically and commercially. Most of all you have inspired the Chinese to dedollarised at hypersonic speed. This started by Trump. So, we thank Trump also. Seriously, never seen China advance forward so fast technologically and commercially until Trump's trade war and now Biden.

Before China retaliates with painful trade war escalation, the assets held in western financial institutions need to be moved out of harms way. Looking at Russia’s seized assets and sanctions is a good guideline on what to anticipate.

China needs to add a 10% "Sanction Fee" to goods to America to cover the cost of checking Sanction Restrictions!

When the US buyer imports goods subject to tariffs from China, they pay the tariff to the US government. This cost and any markup are typically passed on to the end consumer, meaning consumers ultimately bear the burden of tariffs through higher prices. The Chinese seller, however, does not directly pay the tariff; the importer in the US bears that responsibility. China does not suffer the consequences of tariffs. The US consumers are being punished by having to pay higher prices. In 2012, President Obama, as part of his plan to double the U.S. share of the world's solar panels from 5% to 10%, imposed tariffs of up to 249% on solar imports from China. In response, China retaliated by imposing import restrictions on polysilicon from the U.S. At the time, the U.S. held a 50% share of the global polysilicon market, but this has since dropped to under 5%. China has promised to retaliate just as strongly in response to any new tariffs.
