Wouldn't it be in the USA's interests to protect the oligarchs who are paying millions in taxes, placing their moneys in US banks and investing on Wall Street? The bourgeoisie privatized/took over most things such as electricity, gas, water, cables, and other utilities, then resell them at a higher price to the government. The president tried to stop that and provide cheaper access to the population. He started arrested lots of rich people for corruption, fraud and drug dealing as well. He wouldn't accept brides from them, so they financed gangs to make the country unstable and make him look bad...then finally had him killed.

They didn't have the time to rob it, or did they transfer it to Moïse. (The 2 previous governments before Moïse's wasted the money through fake expensive projects. Many judges working on that corruption case were killed when Moïse ordered the prosecution of the corruptors.) Anyways, those mercenaries were arrested by the Haitian police, sent back to the States where they were released and never heard of again.
