U.S.S. Newton and Rare G4 ships 

Greets. Recently built my Newton as well - mine is now tier 5. I had enough saved up to get it to tier 4, then I scrapped my maxed Intrepid to get it to tier 5. I had been grinding Fed Rep, so I went Kelvin, then Newton. Like you, I am mostly FTP, save for the battle passes. So far, Kelvin & Newton have similar repair costs, and, thus far, trit has not been a problem. For crewing, I use PMT for Xindi Hostiles, but for all others I use SNW Pike, SNW Spock, SNW Ortegas. Now that I am grinding Klingon rep, I will next build the Korinar.

Newton is a beautiful beast of a powerhouse ship.

I'm going Kori personally, if I didn't raid a lot I'd be having a lot of trouble paying the repair bills

I got the Pilum then the Kori, because I wanted faster impulse speed for grinding.

My plan was i go for the Pilum ... but because of Faction Repuation Grinding read blocks, it looks like this: Newton = 242 / 350 Korinar = 103 / 350 Pilum = 28 / 350

Congratulations on getting the Newton! I kind of when the same way as you. I'm currently going Federation and Romulan and started with the Kelvin and Valdore then got the Newton at ops 46 mostly because I had the faction credits for it and it was a Battleship after getting an Interceptor and Explorer at 42. I recently built the Pilum and leveled it to T7 last weekend for the spend event. Still haven't completely decided whether I would be going after an Epic 4* or skip those. They seem very expensive but at least you can use Away Team credits for BP and you cant for the 5* ships.

Congrats on the Newton! As I'm slowly grinding towards ops 46 my choice became the korinar. I'm dual grinding fed and klingon, and I've noticed I need more fed creds for officers, so the klingon g4 rare became the logical choice. (Eventhough I still need to get at least Gorkon to t5 at some point). Also since I have both the Kelvin as the ktinga, the korinar gets me a ship of which I have more uc parts in stock for.

for leveling = kill Lv40 Exchange Freighers and you get as much XP as if you would kill Lv51 and 52 Hostiles but with MUCH cheaper overall repair costs

I am thinking of getting it just to use the battle ship parts
