Dude let me warn you that 18x dudes get fucked with the most when going through selection. Most of the dudes there at selection are rangers and or e6 dudes who have been to war. They will not like you. At all. And in selection it's literally Peer review. If I was you I would join with 11x series and then with an option 40 contract which is airborne ranger. First you'll go through airborne after basic then after airborne you go to rasp and after rasp you'll have some ranger training. Trust me dude. do it this way. You'll get fucked less.

@Jeffery Randall any ranger that is gonna be put in the regiment needs to go airborne that's a requirement before even entering rasp. Now ranger qualified, which is just the tab, you dont need airborne. They wont give it to you.

@Jeffery Randall which sucks because we are all 11 chucks and when you're an 11 chuck going for airborne and ranger you have to carry that 81 equipment during your jump. My boy said it was literal fucking aids.

@Jeffery Randall you go immediately to ranger school for the tab, dude. Rasp is kind of like green berets selection process. Peer review bullshit. You can get kicked if your peers dont like you. To get the tab... you need to go through that. That just means you're ranger qualified. You have the qualifications of a ranger but you arent in the regiment because you didnt go through what those did which is rasp and airborne.

Rangers main missions are terrorist raids, hunt and kill, and also infantry frontlines, training other countries infantry and spec ops units, where as marines recon are are told to defend important installation's, raid and capture terrorists, and overall go behind enemy lines just like rangers, and they aren't supposed to kill terrorists that are meant to be captured whereas rangers have free ability to do whatever they want honestly

@@phantom_5687 delta force are CT units. Not exactly spec ops. Raiders fall under marsoc, so in a sense yeah they're spec ops. And rangers arent spec ops. They're just better versions of infantry.
