This is such a fantastic performance with everyone providing stellar parts. Mick, Fergie, and Edge are forces of nature, with solid support from Adam, Larry, and will.i.am. I also love that Bono seems totally content to play third singing fiddle here. He lets Mick and Fergie be the stars and understates his performance. Goosebumps really hit near the end, when Mick and Fergie face off while Bono softly provides ethereal "da da das." And U2 almost always are spectacular when covering others' material because their love and respect for what they cover shines through.

U2 is classy stepping back for Fergie and Mick.

Growing up in the 60's and 70's this song evokes the tragedy that was the Viet Nam war, standing out as such a powerful anti-war song. And the story of Merry Clayton who organically included "Rape, murder" in the studio recording is fascinating. Those lyrics are the icing on the cake.

Fergie among rock royalty, she so totally made this performance. I saw her in a solo concert and she totally delivers, talent, beauty, she's amazing, she can belt out a song like nobody's business.
