You know, it’s funny, I used the neck pick up in this video - this may be the first time I’ve ever done something with the neck pick up on that guitar in a video. Because I find it dark sounding. But it was perfect for this tone!

I’m sure they’d RENT the pedals algorithm to you if they could figure out a way. UA isn’t the most customer friendly company. MIDI what? Pfff, you don’t need that… More than one preset? Pshaw.

Are you guys for real?? I've never heard this argument for ANY other company... Boss, Strymon, Jam, Maxon, Origin, etc., etc. 'Hey! Why can't you just update my DIG so that I can the El Capistan sounds out of it??? I have to buy ANOTHER one??? pfff, you've lost a customer!!!' 🙄😵‍💫

@@m.charron It’s not my specific gripe, but it is something I’ve wondered about, given that there are companies who do basically let you reprogram the pedals, Line 6for instance. Digital pedals aren’t analog pedals so there honestly isn’t a real reason not to, besides pure profit motive.

Well, generally, with regards to your second question, it sounds different running reverb into an amplifier, either in front or in the FX loop… so it’s not the same as using plug-ins. With regards to comparison to the boss, I’ve never directly compared, so I’m just not sure I would have to put them both together in a direct A/B

I feel like the Volante’s features like panning/vol for individual heads beats this out but there’s something to be said for the tone here with simpler controls and the reverb wins

@@PeteThorn Pete, A sincere thank you for your reply and good humour. That being said, you are destroying consumer buying power. By accepting sweetheart deals from UAD, and then following their script; you deny the consumer an HONEST review of the pedals. Because nobody is there to call UAD on any flaws, UAD continues to produce "just good enough" pedals instead of pushing the boundaries and creating and developing the best products for consumers. AND because UAD spent at least 100K on the rollout promotion of these pedals, the consumer pays more for a pedal. Those are my points. I hold you accountable for this. And I politely ask you to stop taking payments for reviews. There is no way you can give an honest review about a product when you are being supplied said product and paid by said company. Pete, you are my last hope, because Michael Neilsen is going to be sued by Don Henley for ripping off Boys of Summer. I can't believe MN was dumb enough to play a nearly note for note version of a song from a guy who is well known for suing everyone into oblivion. You are the last hope. Please think about the ethics of what you do and how it destroys consumer equity in the process. I beg you. Please stop.
