UA OX Stomp pedal - Bluetooth/App issue update

Here's an update to the video I posted last week(link below) regarding having Bluetooth issues and not always being able to connect or open the App. I tried working with my Tech contact and he couldn't figure it out either, so I returned the pedal.

Same thing happened to me. Signal stopped sending. Have no idea why.

Hey, thank you so much for your videos. Sadly mine has the same issues with the App and Bluetooth. I'm wondering if all ox stomp have the same problems,or if its just a few that have the issues? Did the customers service tell you anything about that? I really love the sounds out of it, but the connection drives me mad. 😅 I'm trying to figure out if i have to get my money back ,or get another device. Thank you in advance. Best regards

Sorry to hear you're having a similar issue. The service rep I was dealing with did not reveal the extent of the problem. Based on comments I received and discussions I read on Universal Audio's User forum, I believe that's it's probably a minority of users that are having this issue and that most users are not. But, I don't know for sure. At some point in the next couple of months, I'm going to order a new one and will provide an updated video on whether I have the same issue again.

I thought I had major issues, but after trying everything, as a last resort before returning the unit to store, I changed the (random) power supply I was using, to a Boss PSA......... My issues were immediately fixed! Also, if pairing is intermittent with iPhone, then go to Bluetooth settings on iPhone and 'forget device'........ again, this usually fixes the issue. It's not been ideal, but I would expect UA to eventually make the pairing more streamlined. Also, they should issue a P/S with the unit...... I would expect this bearing in mind the cost of the pedal.

Thanks for the feedback. Glad you've got yours to work. As far as the Bluetooth issue, I did try "forget device" but that didn't work either in my case. I ended up returning mine, but plan on order ing another one as some point in time to see if I have better luck.

I just got an Ox Stomp and I’m having the sound issue you explained, is there no fix?

Unfortunately, in my case I couldn't figure it out and ended up returning it. At some point I'll order another one and try again.

Love UA, or have for 20 years, but this is an epic fail on UA’s part. It was released and nobody at UA was aware? Not possible. Furthermore, they should have written a desktop version for the software.

Sounds like you had a bad one for sure, I've had no problems with mine, I'm using my heads into Captor then into OX Stomp. BTW Ox amp top Box has a line out on the inside which they didn't implement for some reason. look up Ox box mod, there's a few tutorials on how to enable it on RU-vid, would cost you a few dollars for a cable and you need to drill a hole

Thanks for watching. I didn't know that about the OX Box. Glad your OX Stomp is working well. I'm sure most of them do. At some point I'll considering ordering a new one.
