Here we go to a coastal bothy in the Scottish highlands. I really like coastal bothies and this one is set in a beautiful location. Watch the video and you will see. #uags #uagsbothy #coastalbothy
Glad you enjoyed the bothy - the "throne" has been there since I made it in the early nineties. It was made from driftwood and some scraps that were in the old woodshed that used to be on the east side of the bothy. I'm always amazed that it's survived this long without someone breaking it up for firewood, which is often the fate of other bothy furniture.
What a great sturdy piece of furniture you have created. Let it forever be a part of the Uags Bothy furniture collection and never be used for firewood.
This is such a beautiful and atmospheric piece of film. I found you through the RU-vid algorithm - I love Scotland, I love walking and the outdoors - and I am 72 so enjoy watching other people's outdoor experiences mostly now from my sofa! Regarding the coastline, I lived 3 miles from Saltburn on the northeast coast for the first 25 years of my life and was also born there, so it's very much in my blood.
Love these Bothy tours, just catching up with your video's cos i havent watched them in ages (probably since arond lockdown). Hello from West Yorkshire 🙂
Magnificent! Was in Applecross a few years ago and always felt there was a lot more exploring to be had. That bothy looks like a great refuge to be had in amongst a few days of wandering and wild camping. Love your work, stay well!
Super cool bothy. Looks cosy and in great shape - wonderful alternative to the tent. Very nice and informative video too. I wonder how busy is this place in the summer... I scheduled visit in Applecross for next year, but I planned to take the tent. Now I think I'll try this bothy instead. Thanks you for sharing. 😊😊
Through my extensive Bothy video travels this one seems to be the most "luxurious" of all of them thus far. Or maybe it's just me and I have a lot more to acquaint myself with. But I do enjoy emploring with you great hikers and pack packers and having a look-see at these infinamous Bothys. Quite enjoyable places, actually. Nice video footager, thank you!
