Uber did similar to me last week. I went to the restaurant and they said the order was taken already. I text Uber support and they say I'm not at the location. I moved to the back door, inside, and front. They still gave me this excuse. I even sent selfies with restaurant logo. I tried another agent, but saw the order was cancelled (not sure by who). I never was able to get $3 compensation. I think they are making more excuses. Meanwhile so many drivers and others getting away with food theft.
Yes, I have had this shit happen five times. They are screwing us! Then, they say if you use customer support for it the may reevaluate your account. I am pissed about it. $3 is a fine joke to begin with-now, NOTHING???🤔
Allowing Tip Baiting is the one thing that makes me the most upset. You are allowing customers to scam the system and the company breaks the agreement they sent to you, this has to be against some type of law
About a month ago they stopped compensating for cancelled and orders that have already been picked up. If it’s too good to be true call the restaurant first if it’s a food pick up. For Walmart I just stop taking them unless am right there.
This happened to me a few times (over Christmas) on Uber at Walmart. Sitting, waiting for Walmart employees to load cars for hours. They weren’t even coming out! I’m talking $70-$100 offers. I got nada! I absolutely can not stand support. They are by far the absolute worst of all support.
Oh Pedro, this is the new thing that they’re doing. They’re not paying you anymore. If the orders are canceled they’re not paying anymore. If the orders are picked up by somebody else that’s all changed now. Sorry that happened to. You happened to two days ago.
I had a Spark grocery order yesterday that paid $40 for delivery in 4 miles. It was 50 items, and it took a 1.5 hours to shop. Had issues finding someone to slice deli meat because they were short of help. I packed the order in coolers in my car and was ready to go and the order got canceled!! Not Good! Spark gave me 1/2 compensation. I was told to return the order to customer service in which I did. Walmart customer service didn’t ask the name of the customer so I could get credit for returning. They said they had to throw the order away! There was strip steaks and other meats. Around $300 worth of food! I hadn't even left the parking lot, so the meat was cold in the coolers! I was furious! What a waste!
I don't ever do shop orders on spark only curbside and if the miles are right for me. Shopping takes a lot of time unless you know the store and it's only a few items.
@holly, your missing out. Shopping orders are far better than curbside. I try and keep curbside to a minimum. I don't like their prying eyes or dictating if I can or can't take orders because I have other stuff in my vehicle.
This happened to me last week. My reservation trip was for $32 and I had pulled into the parking spot. I was checking in to my spot, and the app started spinning and then I got the message the batch order had been cancelled. Support told me I would've gotten $3.00 if I had checked in before the cancel. So why didnt you get $3 since you had already checked in? (Not that $3 is any kind of compensation....crumbs) You are right...Uber is predatory and pure trash.
I recently had an Uber “package” delivery for $30 at my Walmart where I Spark at 10pm. App says park at the orange area, there is no such area. I park in the Spark area and call the number. No answer. Call the store and they had NO idea what I was even talking about. Call support and just got BS copy paste nonsense that doesn’t even apply. No pay for my time , period… sucks to be you. Order doesn’t even exist in the system!! Finally tell the support guy off and went home disgusted. No compensation for 30 minutes of my time for an order that didn’t even exist!!! That’s their damn fault!!! WTAF
They don’t tell you what “not very long is,” either. I was on an order for about 15 minutes between driving to the restaurant, waiting for a staff member to tell me someone else picked up the order, calling DD support, getting a human being, and getting the order cancelled. I got NOTHING!!
Yeah, they have been strict on paying for cancelled orders lately. I use to call support... now I don't. It's just a waste of time. Today, I made $180 bucks here in STL. I had a great day! :)
Uber has become worse than trash under Dara! If Uber offers a trip, I decline unless I am on top of the location for pick up so I don't waste time or gas. I am not driving any distance even for high pay offers since Uber has done this my wife and myself at least 6 times. My advise: do not drive any distance for something that may not be there and you wind up with nothing.
Yes, I have had this shit happen five times. They are screwing us! Then, they say if you use customer support for it the may reevaluate your account. I am pissed about it. $3 is a fine joke to begin with- now, NOTHING???🤔 I have had awful orders since that last one, also.
As a weekend driver with UE I rarely take Walmart orders. Most are too low dollars/miles or dollars/time. Many of them will have you pick up from store A which is miles away from the closest store to the customer. Logistically it makes no sense to me as most of the grocery items would be in stock at ANY store. Wish UE would allow drivers to turn off/on Walmart orders like we can with Shop and pay. My acceptance rate would so be much higher!
Now DoorDash would at least paid you half and customers can’t tip bait on the app. Pedro, put your pride aside and deliver for DoorDash again. You’re still delivering for all these other apps, but not DD makes no sense. UE is 10x worse with than DD.
When the order is cancelled I don’t believe the customer cancels the order it’s the store. The store usually cancels after 15 mins of the driver waiting and then they dispatch the order again. Usually it’s because the store is running behind. Uber has never given cancellation compensation unless you call and request it no matter if you go through the chat and tell it the order was picked up by someone else. You have to connect by phone. And they manually add it.
Prop 22 people we better appreciate it. I called today because an order was taking too long and the agent said cancel it and I will add comp after. He added 3$ for waiting about 5-8 mins. I do think they treat each work area different.
@@charlesclaridy8646 they can’t treat everyone equally. Every jurisdictions has its own rules. That’s why depending on your state or city, there are all these programs or policies by the companies.
Stop doing delivery gigs there’s no money in that, rideshare is so much better. I’m in Las Vegas and making $35 an hour, if you’re going to be miserable about delivery gigs like Uber eats or DoorDash why do it? It don’t make sense, start making positive content and instead of complaining and give these people a way to make money instead of them listening to you complaining.
Happened to me yesterday. Went to pickup an order. Was told I'm the the 4th driver to come for it. Went to contact support to have it properly canceled only to ne told you will not be paid . Wtf
@twentytwenty3511 I do 4 jobs in a day. 1.W2 job, 2. uber 4 hours until 9 pm , 3.another gig work online 2 hours until 11.30 pm, 4.and prepare trade stock & crypto until over midnight. Make over $250 total daily but yes so stress.
Uber needs to be more consistent then. I’ve been paid for canceled deliveries and so have others. They only gave me $3 which is a joke but I was paid. They seem to pick and choose when they will do it.
Yeah uber eats has been pretty bad. Hey Pedro, I know everything changes but I really liked the old ending on all your other videos. Appreciate all you do to help this gig community.
I feel it is odd, The Guy is asking for questions... however... here they are: 1. Crazy drivers on our route, pull over, ignore/ block or what? 2. Low paw offers, one after another... 3. Long Distance order... Way out of zone... 4. When or Should you Gig Full time? 5. Should I keep my full time job as a spare tire/ or vise versa? Almost 63, I am not looking for lots of work. But, as a driver trainer, I hope to pass on something to the next generation.
I had this happen yesterday evening. I had accepted 1 UberEats order with 2 deliveries to pickup at Walmart. I waited 30 minutes, and the order was canceled! No compensation was received for the effort made. UberEats sent more Walmart orders to me after that, and I was not having it! I wondered if Walmart canceled the orders? What are the odds of 2 customers canceling at once? I saw another driver there to pickup and left without anyone loading the vehicle, so it may have happened to them as well. :(
Pedro 'open borders' Santiago why should Uber pay you when they have an endless supply of cheaper labor coming across the border, which you are in favor of. Uber is a business not a charity.
I live in Vegas and Uber is amazing. Average $30-50 an hour usually. Now their payout when a customer cancels is a joke. But I have delivered over 2000 orders and that’s happened one time
I've asked to speak to supervisor in a very polite way with Uber Eats several times on instances like this and I've been paid nearly each time. If they want to give me $4 or nothing for something like this that's what I've done.
Wouldn’t it be nice to have a gig company that isn’t greedy, treats drivers well, doesn’t let customers not tip. Is there a market for that? Do you think it will be possible and successful?
😆 happened to me last night.. I was already enroute to the pick up and was told by UE that thier policy is that unless you are already there you won't compensated. My guess was it was a victim of "no tip, no trip" based on the time I got the order versus when the restaurant received it(almost 30 minutes, so he probably just gave up waiting).. Fortunately I had another pickup since they stacked it so I wasn't completely out of luck.
If this happens write down the customer name, location, pay offered, and time of day then call them back later in the evening when you are home not wasting your time while working and demand to speak to a supervisor. Eventually you will get a supervisor sometimes you get lucky and it happens within 5 to 10 minutes but usually it will take longer than that. Plenty of times explaining the situation the supervisors have paid me more for the time I spent on orders they might say it's a one time courtesy pay but I've had plenty of them. In my experience I would have got $10 to $15 for this. If the drive wasn't far and I didn't spend much time I just take the $3 cancelation trip free that everyone gets when they ask but if I have to go far only to be the 9th person to show up to pickup the order than I demand to speak to a supervisor explaining how I don't work for free and $3 doesn't cut it.
If you call and complain about something like that they will give you three bucks but they will drag it out 10 minutes which usually makes it not worth it.
Did an Uber run a month or so ago, their map glitched took me 15 miles out of the way and had to call the customer for their address. Spent an hour talking to 10+ people at Uber to get $2. They are the worst.
That likely was the store that cancelled not the customer. I've had that happen before where I get a real good Walmart order on Uber and it turns out the order doesn't exist and they cancel it after 10-20 mins of waiting
Simple answer. Get on support message them and just continue to argue with them. After 6-7 messages you’ll get a $25 incentive. I’ve done this 2-3 times a week for over a year
Had to call Uber support recently for an issue similar to yours, after being bounced around to FIVE DIFFERENT AGENTS I finally caught on and hung up. They are trained to do this. It is a waste of time to even contact them, pure scumbag company!!!
Always been getting $3 compensation. “Just say talk agent “ in support & talk to them they give me $3. Be nice how you talk to them… they are human beings working for Uber at the support. I guess I am always very nice to them they give me $3 or full pay
I noticed the last couple weeks I’ve been putting in my new insurance information to keep driving on the app they won’t accept it I wonder if this is the way of getting back at us when we don’t accept the bs orders because of this point whenever I get any money from Uber eats it’s just going to gas my other apps pay more for the day
Recently I'm having the same experience with the driver support. I'm doing a lot of uber eats and typically I noticed recently at some point they decided, Unless the customer cancels the order and you arrive at the store before they do, they stop compensating drivers
Oh, you didn't know? If you're an Uber Eats veteran driver like me (7+ yrs, 20,000+ deliveries), they no longer pay you for cancelations, order picked up by another driver, restaurant closed, restaurant doesn’t have items, etc. even if you call and speak to supervisors. The reason they give for not paying now: "EXCESSIVE COMPENSATION!" It's been about a month since my last attempted delivery and denial of pay, so I've essentially quit Uber Eats. I still have the app as a backup in case all of my other gig apps fail. SMH!😡
Stopped driving Uber Eats. Was cheated too many times by the customer on orders that had NO issues and were delivered early. Why does the company allow the customer to withdraw the offered tip? They don't freaking care because it doesn't effect their $ amount.
And this is why I don’t accept Walmart orders on UberEats they’re ridiculous and it’s not only UberEats it’s Walmart employees as well there’s either a staff shortage or they’re just plain lazy
They keep sending drivers even after drivers call in to cancel because it costs them nothing. There's a way to get paid by support for these types of shenanigans but I'm not putting it on here cause too many drivers would do it and then they would close the loophole like they always do, iykyk
ive had some amazing walmart orders on uber but most of them dont work out cause the walmart employees are understaffed and will never get to your order and the customer eventually cancels. ive wasted a couple hours once until it was finally canceled lol. uber is trash and the $3 comp is a joke. support is even more ridiculous cause i usually have to call them 3-4 times to solve an issue. so glad i dont do ue or dd anymore.
A proxy server, also known as an intermediary server, is a computer system or router that acts as a gateway between a user and the internet. I have been hearing about this... a lot of crazy shit is going on!!!!!!!!!!
See why should we believe you when you didn’t believe some of us when it came to doordash and the illegal immigrants… which is still alive and well btw
Uber support agents are indeed trash. in a stacked order that takes you far from home but you accept bc of teh stacked money, if the closests delivery cancels, they will not pay you and still expect you to do the delvery that is far and you would not have ever accepted.
I’m not familiar with Uber at all, but it sounds like you are not adapting as you tell us to do. You stopped doing DoorDash to just do UberEats which sounds like it’s pretty much the same thing, but not as good at least in your area. Maybe you should take your own advice.
I kid you not I got a order from Uber eats going 40 miles for $17.00 and some change. I don’t know what they are smoking at Uber but someone doing crack 😂😂
@@ToMaToEsGrOw anytime I see a order like that with high mileage with low pay I instantly think someone is on something at Uber. Because 40 something miles.
