thank you for sharing that this exists. i switched to a dumb phone recently and not having uber/lyft access has been a concern of mine. looks like it's not available after 10 pm EST right now, but it could still come in handy as long as it's not a late night. uber's website also says they're looking to expand hours in the future.
This seems genuinely better than using the app. I’ve grown to hate all apps. After using every task manager app and calendar app known to man, my moleskin notebook has done the job of all of the apps for the past 4 years.
Nice video Jose! I hope other countries have that option outside of the US in the future as more and more people go digitally minimalist. I also hope Mayra, the driver was prompt and polite. 😊
This would be so darn great for a bunch of services that primarily depend on app interfaces. Unfortunately, I don't see it being available for a lot of things because it requires some sort of infrastructure (even just one person coordinating with a bunch of texts is still gonna be an extra expense that somebody's gonna have to justify, and most don't see the justification if it's a niche use-case), but by god: If I could process all my e-wallet, banking, and transport transactions and interactions via a text or a call, I would do it and I would ditch my smartphone ASAP.
Yes you can. Technically your battery health will last longer if you keep it between 30% and 80% at all times, but that’s only if you’re hardcore obsessed with making the most of it. Same for all lithium batteries.
Nope. People want Uber and calling an Uber is a form of transport for many. For those of us without smartphones, this is a way to access Uber. I know there are taxis, but their numbers are regional and this one is national. So there you go…
