Kakadu National Park is one of the most famous national parks in Australia, 171 km southeast of Darwin. This World Heritage Site is huge and its area is twice as big as metropolitan Melbourne. Ubirr is one of the most famous spots in Kakadu. Don't forget to climb to the lookout to enjoy the breathtaking view of the Nadab floodplain.
The walk to Ubirr takes about an hour and is 1 kilometre via a circular walking track from the car park. The climb to the lookout takes a further 30 minutes.
Katherine Gorge inside the Nitmiluk National Park is just 30 kilometres north-east of Katherine Northern Territory. Thirteen magnificent gorges are the major attraction in the national park. Joining a cruise tour is a great way to see the natural wonder.
