FromSoftware just doesn't mix them. Makes it better tho, having a bucket of cake AFTER the bucket of sh!t is more rewarding, and better, than having just two buckets of messy semi-sweet sh!t.
Right we all know ubisoft missions are just something like a side quest. It wouldn't be it's own area and the rewards aren't going to be good. But Formsoft makes almost whole games for dlc and adds more stuff then most AAA games have all together 😂.

Yeah, that's like 150+ hours worth of content... for a single playthrough, chances are most players are going to want to do multiple playthroughs too, sure those subsequent playthroughs will be faster but doesn't mean they'll be any less worth it.
And no extra bs! You get access to everything just by playing the game normally, no shitty micro transaction, no special paid only cosmetics, everything is available! You just have to git gud enough to earn it
Because Fromsoft is known for making quality games and DLC that rivals the base game. It doesn’t feel like cut out content, it feels like what DLC should feel like; an expansion of the base game.
What's even better is they will use cut assets in later installments. Bless those developers, if only they could dedicate just a bit more time to flesh out the late game areas. But, that's alright in my book.
Especially since the dlc might add possible hundreds of more hours to the game, the base game nearly took my a hundred hours to reach the final boss, can't imagine how many more I would have with the dlc
To them, it's like, "Eh, you know the game is 2 years old, still finding some new stuff... Here's a DLC that is basically the Elden Ring+ and with even more new stuff so CCs can keep making videos, and the story is now 250 hours long... I wonder if it's enough." @marker7753

@@kriegsmanjaeger5545 Probably because they estimate the amount of tries you take on each boss as a lot lower than it takes most players. Like the testers have played this so much by the time they check how long it really is they can do every boss in 1 to 3 tries.

Difference is From software took us out on a 100+ hour date and treated us like Queens and Kings before politely asking us to lay down in their bed for 40$.
This is the difference between buying a fully finished game and buying the game to help finish it I'm tired of waiting 6 months to a year for game to be even somewhat playable

Holy shit you for real? I stopped gaming about 2013 when my 360o died the true death and life was very challenging for me. Early last year I bought a ps4 and have played almost nothing but really good games, God of War, Jedi Fallen Order, The Last of Us, Ghost of Tsushima Sekiro and Elden Ring. I haven't really experienced all the insane greedy bullshit this AAA developers have put gamers through. I believe what 100%, it really opens my eyes to what these thugs are with people's hard earned money.
Fuck brand loyalty. Brand loyalty is for mark ass suckers. If From releases a trash game, we'll all call it trash and not buy. If From becomes Ubisoft, they should be treated as such.

The fact that the jabba's dlc is buyable from day one is proof that the mission is not an extra, it's just a portion of the base game removed from the standard edition.

@@MouseGoat Fromsoft dlcs are polished, and add alot of content, in dark souls 3 dlc was improving game by alot, i would say that this section was more polished than rest of the game, bosses were much better and harder for sure.

Day 1 DLC is insane. That means that whatever is in the DLC was either originally part of the game, then cut out as a cash grab, or it was developed from the beginning as a DLC, before the game was finished. Either option just gives the image of greedy, money hungry, player hating companies.
Fromsoftware has also had areas that they scrapped or didn't finish. Then later added to a dlc or another game. However fromsoft makes them an entirely different. Ubisoft just adds thing that already should have been in the game. For the low low price of a 150$

the best part is...Jabba and his missions are in the game apparently. so you are dopping 40 bucks just to get 2 or 3 more missions. the big different between this and DLC unfinished areas is. those unfinished/scrapped areas wernt finished before the game came out. day 1 DLC is litterly already in the game files...you are just paying 40 bucks to unlock existing content for an extra 20min of gameplay (also. tecnically this is DLC BEFORE the release...as you can play with that 'dlc' 3 days before the game comes out. making it day -3 DLC)
with 925 hours in Elden Ring, I feel like I'm scamming Fromsoft at this point whenever I play. When you break it down it comes out to under 7 cents per hour played lmao

$40 for one mission vs $40 for an entire new area, story, bosses, leveling system, new weapons, new armor, new weapon types, new incantations, new sorceries, lovable characters, npc quest lines, connections to the main game, and the boss fights are fun.
It's actually even worse because ubisoft is charging 110 minimum just to get their Jabba mission while Fromsoft is charging 40 bucks for an expansion for a game that's been out for years now.

There’s bothing to support this. The longest a fromsoft dlc goes is like 5h. I don’t think the doc will be bigger then twice the usual ones as it costs twice as much

@@justinh9674 you can “not think the dlc will last twice as long”, but you have no clue. FromSoft always expands and goes beyond what the base game does with the new bosses and areas to explore. Maybe if you speed run the ringed city you could maybe do it in like 8 or 10 hours but I completed it full and got about 20-24 hours out of a 20$ dlc. I will always root for FromSoft and the fact that they purchased the rights to Eldin Ring from Bandai Namco just proves that they wanted to completely blow our minds with no due dates forced upon them by the publishers. Just wait for it and we shall see which reigns supreme
I agree with the first statement but the second... If you do it blind and dont speedrun it you get more than five hours at EVERY DLC! Its possible that the ds1 DLC isnt five hours but even that you get more than 5 hours if ds1 is your first/second game from the soulsborne series. So your saying that Old Hunters, Ringed City and the other Ds3 DLC AND every Ds2 DLC not more than five hours (per DLC) are?!
I'm glad to see the term "Expansion" coming back into play however within a year we'll be seeing "Bubble Guppies weapon camo expansion" because AAA Devs aren't gonna Google it
My first interaction with Fromsoft games was Armored Core 6. First a little story time. I bought most expensive preorder of Dying Light two, i liked the game but some aspects of it were unpolished as it tends to be with new titles and it improved a lot over the years but story is absolute shit towards the end, game was advertised with how much your choices mattered but 3 out of 4 endings are basically same and only different one is the bad ending. I went into AC6 without much expectation, i knew its a hard bullet hell with mechs. I cried at least 3 times and only one was because of difficulty. The story is masterpiece the gameplay is super fun and even tho some of the choices are there just to make a choice and no one hides it the characters still make you feel like it mattered at least a bit and deeper you dive down the rabbit hole of references the more you appreciate how much effort was poured into that game.
I dont think anyone should be loyal to a company and take anything they put out. This is just having trust that the chances are higher that its good than Ubisoft delivering a steaming pile of shit.
Idk about loyalty, it's value. no one with common sense will waste 130 for an extra few missions, skins etc. But an entire game expansion with hours worth of play time. and people will spend 40+ easily. sure the company respecting their customers helps, but the main thing is the value you get from the game. is it cost effective with the entertainment you gain.

Got to think people. When a souls-borne game is made and there's a DLC to it, it's not going to be just simply one or two extra levels and a couple new bosses. No, it's going to be an entire miniature sized campaign that's going to take you anywhere from 2 to about 8 hours to complete. Unless you're a speedrunner then probably going to be like an hour and a half tops
So basically like New Vegas and it's 4 big DLCs. All of them featured maps that were like a quarter of the Mojave in size and had their own campaigns that took... 6-8 hrs to go through.
If you think this expansion is gonna take 2-8 hours I got news for you pal... If its truly slightly larger than limgrave but more dense with content, we're easily looking at 20 hours for a rushed playthrough and 40-80 for a slow and steady run.

Ubisoft likes to release games with paid "DLC", while FromSoftware likes to do the original method by releasing completed games, and later introduce game-sized DLC for almost half the price of the base game.

Destiny 2 is the same way. When you buy a dlc from them, it usually involves getting a new 10-hour campaign if you play legendary mode along with a raid, dungeon and lots of side quests, not to mention the piles of weapons and armor that you get for playing through all the listed activities.
Literally this. On top of being woefully incomplete or lacking in content on launch, Ubisoft have already let their fan base know that what they are buying isn’t truly theirs. Why buy a game that might be revoked in the future?
As an aside, fuck Ubisoft. But, this quote is taken out of context. It was answering a question about what would be needed for game subscriptions to become a more lucrative. It's the correct answer to a hypothetical question, not a demand upon gamers. Now of course, when they start making moves to try and force games into subscription models, then we riot.
There's also the fact that the DLC is practically an entire game itself, for only $40. vs buying a game stripped of content for $70, and buying the full game for $130, which is what these "Editions" always do.
Exactly why people trust FromSoftware they care enough about their playerbase that they don't get mad when people don't buy their dlc which boosts dlc sells because of their reputation with the playerbase.

One of them is a carfully crafted peace of art with no microtransactions and a DLC that wasn't just content they ripped from the game to sell for more profit and the other is the 3rd star wars game in 3 years
Trust is an important thing. Anybody that has played any of the fromsoftware DLC will know that they care about the quality. They have not disappointed and dont plan to. Ubisoft has been dumping garbage for years and wonders why people dont care anymore. Its time they learned a lesson.

That's because Fromsoft actually offers quality for what we are buying and Ubisoft does not. Plus Miyazaki tends to undersell his own work so when he says "it's about the size of Limgrave" it is probably bigger.

Ubisoft tends to make garbage, and treat their customer base like trash. FromSoft holds their customers in high regard, and tends to make memorable games that are played for decades after their release. I still go back and play Armored Core 1 and Project Phantasma from time to time.
The fact is that Elden ring DLC has been in the works for 2 years and is probably bigger than we think it is. Miazaki also has had a history of being humble about his games lengths, he orginaly said elden ring was a 30 hour experience and now he said the DLC was just a bit bigger than Limgrave.
100% will be, just from miyazaki saying its gonna "take 30 hours" i assume its gonna be more like 60, because he also said elden ring "is gonna take 60 hours" and most ppl took 100+ hours
