I have always been raising this with ma Zulu friends,of which some of them are scared to do umgangela,which I see similarities with musangwe(the venda bare knuckle fist fighting)I telling them that now u r working, don't risk ur career,and moreover, people who are active in those activities are not working,have nothing to lose and use a lot of strong muti,coming to u but'matete I just can't thank you enough,u r Zulu,am Xhosa,but u r advices reaches across tribal lines,I relate to everything u say,and ur program has made me a better person,I used to have a short temper,but through watching TL,saw that it could lend me in jail, because I just didn't want to be disrespected,but now I just let go,the issues of owning a gun as well has opened my eyes
I agree with the advice you giving to your friends. It's good to think carefully of your actions before acting or participating in any activities especially those which can endanger your life in anyway or even affects those who rely on you negatively. Kulaba abathi bona umgangela ngeke bawuyeke ngingathi kunina you got a role to play amongst yourselves & your families. Make sure everyone(families/participates) understands ukuthi what you doing if you get injured/paralyzed/die just like in other sports like boxing nobody goes and seek revenge kulomuntu oyoba asuke akuhlulile.
