Great video explaining Ubuntu. I just didn't know that Linux was so understandable. It's much easier than I would have thought, and your videos even make it feel familiar.
I've been nervous to make the switch, but thanks to your tutorials, I will be installing Ubuntu on my laptop today! Thank you for making it look less intimidating than I was thinking it was going to be
@@xazii Honestly, it has been pretty good. I have been able to find compatible software for everything I use including the Microsoft software. I use Steam and Wine to play games and when I'm stuck I usually find the answers on Ask Ubuntu.
@@libertyworker5886yea there's enough applications, I was mainly referring to games. I play a lot of them and after switching I've noticed that most of my favorite games don't run on Linux, or they run worse
Hi, I recently installed Ubuntu 18.04 on my laptop and everything works fine except for the facts that I can’t connect to my external monitor. No matter what I try, I can’t seem to get my laptop to detect my monitor. Would GREATLY appreciate any solutions or tips please!!!
One of the reasons I personally use the latest version of Ubuntu is the supported updated kernel in each release seems to make hardware integration that much more seamless. Just as a means of experimentation, I'd recommend trying to load Ubuntu 19.10 from a USB flash drive and see if it registers your external monitor without error. I'm typing this on 19.10 while having an external Huion drawing monitor attached and they're all running fine. :)
So just a quick one. If i am switching to ubuntu from windows and I have windows operating system in c drive, does the delete process include only the c drive or the whole hard drive

the ubuntu software centre doesn't boot for me :( When I click on it, either in that left taskbar or the activities meu, it shows the ubuntu software loading for like 10 seconds to the right of the activities button and then it closes again. It doesn't open a window. I opened a file in firefox with the ubuntu software centre before opening the ubuntu software centre manually, could that have caused it? Does anyone know how to fix it? edit: I'm fine with having to reinstall ubuntu

First thing you need to tell people is to move that dock to the bottom of the screen or everyone is going to run away. Ubuntu lets you. In version 18.04. I'm sure version 20 can still manage that.
Awesome. Thank you but your background is in the way. You either want to teach of you want to show this horrendous desktop in the way. You Cannot do both.
