The requirements for getting a parking space at university seem ridiculously high. But the hard work paid off. Congratulations.

Yes, more Female Power from women of color, too. I understand people of color don't receive the funding their white counterparts receive. They don't receive the political backing their white counterparts receive. They don't receive the social backing from white, middle class feminists. This is not about race but it has been a point of curiosity of mine as to how black people, if any, have received a Nobel in science. There have been many in literature but you can count on one hand the number in science. NONE. Urban schools need to prepare their students better in STEM curriculums.

Congratulations are in order. Congratulations! One day, some day, perhaps, a person of color, maybe even a female, may win a Nobel for science. However, they receive very little support from their colleagues in their field and very little funding for their research. Very few schools in urban areas prepare their students for STEM, however. Everyone is talking about girl power and that we need more women in sciences. Yes, we do. I would like to see more women of various ethnicities represent the field as they represent the culture of life, not just white, WASPY women.

SCIENTIFIC MERICLE OF QUR'AN SKY A PROTECTING ROOF NO MAGNETIC FIELD NO LIFE ON EARTH What If Massive Solar Storm Hit the Earth? Almighty Allah says: وجعلنا السماء سقفا محفوظا و هم عن آياتها معرضون ( الأنبياء : ٣٢) " And We have made the sky as a roof withheld (from them).Yet they turn from its Signs (which these things point to) (Qur'an,21:32) The verse indicates to the protection from solar storms, meteors bombardments and other cosmic strikes which pose a very serious threat to living things on Earth. The word "السماء" (Sama) in above verse means the whole universe Known to the us.It's meaning is very vast. The " سقفا محفوظا" ( Protecting roof) has broader meaning which means all magnetic fields and objects the modern science has come to know from original magnetic field to atmospheric layers around the earth. 1. Troposphere 2. Stratosphere 3. Ozone 4. Mesosphere 5. Thermosphere 6. Ionosphere 7. Exosphere Functions of these layere are to protect Earth from : 1- All weathers occur in troposphere. If these layers have not been existed, life could not be possible on Earth. Moreover most of Oxygen occurs in this region which is responsible for the life of Aerobic organisms. 2. Ozone layer absorbs Ultra Voilet Radiations and thus protects life from hazardous radiations of the Sun.Moreover it provides "Green House Effect" which is responsible for maintaining comfortable temperature on the Earth. 3. Mesosphere burns up million of meteors striking the Earth and thus protects Earth from these meteors. 4. Exosphere absorbs harmful radiations from the sun protecting layers underneath. These explanations make clear the meaning of " السماء" (sky) in the above mentioned verse is very vast. We could not understand what Almighty Allah meant by " A canopy well guarded" until we came to know findings of modern sciences. Who can tell us about 1500 years ago that our life on Earth is well protected by these megnatic fields and layers. We are thankful of Almighty Allah for providing this " سقفا محفوظا" ( Protecting roof)۔ Almighty Allah says: " We shall show them Our Signs on the horizons and within their own selves until it will be clear unto them that He is Truth.Doth not thy Lord suffice, since He is Witness over all things". No black scientist has ever won a Nobel - that's bad for science, and bad for society. Many in the scientific world are celebrating the fact that two women received this year's Nobel prizes in physics and chemistry. Donna Strickland and Frances Arnold are only the 20th and 21st female scientists to be recognised by the Nobel Committee. Yet in over 100 years, we have never seen a black scientist become a Nobel laureate. That's from an article by Winston Morgan, The Conversation, phys.org. That was from a 2018 article because two more white women, Doudna and Charpentier, have won it since. Still no one of color. No, I am NOT calling for affirmative action, for all of you of a certain ilk, but I think this is something to talk about, considering all of the social justice warrior actions taken up by liberals. Is that posturing? It certainly seems like it when you consider the obvious.
